I have been working at Flowers Foods full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Few Co-workers have become friends for life.
Occasional air balloon or costumed mascot shows up for a local event.
Pay has kept head above water but just barely due to California's cost of living.

    Cons

Corporate Making mountains out of mole hills with every issue presented.
Supervisions communication from all levels is lacking, even with their mandatory leadership training for all "supervisors" is just" ____: a new way to communicate"
Micromanagement or over communicating from all levels of Corp on the wrong items hinder work flow of all associates.
Utilizing "leased labor" aka ABM to show lower employee numbers for investors.
Lack of follow through to fix issues on the floor for with labor force.
Exiting CEO spent millions on programs that reverted back to 2016 standards in less than 2 years.
Keeping everything so secret that managers down to line workers don't know what will happen in 6 months, let alone 6 weeks or 6 days.

    Advice to Management

The cons list is honestly the easiest part of this review.
I had to spend 10 minutes looking for pros.
Flowers corporate is so over flowing with VPs, presidents, senior VPs and other titles that in the end one small emailed question becomes a 37 page short story of emails with no definable answer.
Let the LLCs make their own sales area choices or at least give the illusion of letting them sell the baked goods their own way.
Stop treating folks who move on in their career from the company like an enemy of the state. If we leave on good terms searching for a better future dont treat us like the devil.
Our real family comes first, not this misanthropic hoax of a society your brand team tries to sell to potential customers.

Also stop being suprised that people bashed the upper tier of managment on the questionnaire yall send out every few years.
We know it is not truly autonomous and we still speak the truth about your culture and manahment.
