I have been working at Flowers Foods full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Pay, Yearly Bonus, and Vacation time monthly meetings to let u know what's going on in the bakery. Lots of overtime if u want it . Increase your knowledge of the bakery industry. Open door policy.

    Cons

Poor equipment quality, not a lot of room for advancement, no family and work life balance. Employees who are not flowers don't care about the job anymore

I have been working at Flowers Foods full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pays ok, but not really worth the constant micromanagement. Managers are robots that just seem to exist on catching employees doing wrong.

    Cons

They treat you like you're a child. 10 minutes late with notice. Gig for Bean!! Way too much micromanagement and zero common sense.

    Advice to Management

Use common sense. Instead of trying to write up your employees for every minor infraction, realize some of us have a skill and will be happy to take it elsewhere. You are not the only game in town. As I write this, I'm applying elsewhere and totally agree with the companies low score.

    Pros

Strong company with a strong culture. They will keep you busy and there are a lot of learning opportunities as a result of the workload.

    Cons

Work never stops and you are expected to be available 24/7. This is the company culture throughout the organization.

    Advice to Management

Spend some money on additional help or resources to lighten the workloads of employees.

    Pros

Depending what position you hold, pay is mostly in line with where it should be.
There are annual increases that usually come with the jobs.

    Cons

As far as training goes... Minimal would be the way to describe it. You mostly get "Thrown to the dogs".
Management style...there is no style. Micromanagement is the word for the day. Upper management won't let supervisors do their jobs, and so on. People get reprimanded on the spot in front of everyone. Not cool at all.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what the people tell you. If you don't want to know what they think, don't ask. Train more thoroughly and hold people responsible for knowing and doing their jobs. Allow time to do their jobs and do them correctly.

I have been working at Flowers Foods as an intern

    Pros

Lots of hours, great company, simple jobs, nice People to work with. Pride in the company.

    Cons

Rotating shifts, Safety concerns we're placed by a bad community, really hot during the summer time

    Advice to Management

I think the higher ups, really need to look in their management. Some are not qualified for their jobs and abuse their power. Creates a difficult work situation, love my job, not so fond of management.
