I have been working at Flowserve full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    1. Good Infrastructure & on time salary are the only good things.
    2. If you are not performing also they will not send you to home.

    Cons

    1. Workers union have started & Higher management have given them more salary than the staff so like a worker with ITI qualification will be getting more salary than the engineer.
    2. Tamalians will be getting more salary than local people as all department HOD's are either Tamil or Malayali.
    3. Lot of internal politics & if your good with immediate boss than only you will get good hike else will be sidelined.
    4. Local management & all HOD's are mean minded, don't want there subordinates to grow and develop. All Bosses want to save there head.
    5. Office staff & Union workers are benefited more than shop floor, Management is least bothered about employee satisfaction.

    Advice to Management

Local management is least bothered to retain the employees so if someone from Higher management from US see this post kindly come to INDIA & resolve the issues here

Paid reseonable good. reasonable size of company.

    Cons

Micro-management, middle managers just focus on build up their own power, and out-source works to their own "back yards" in India

I have been working at Flowserve full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Shop is climate controlled is the only pro!

    Cons

The management could care less about the employees. The Tulsa facility is ran horrible they want you to rush thru everything. Everything is based of efficiency. The times they give you to do is unreal. They use that to give a crappy raise if you even get one. Then they wonder why parts are wrong. First it's efficiency then quality then safety. They act like it's the other way around. Everyone tells on every one. Even the word Christmas offends people. Only way to move up is kiss butt. They also have no hr so management can do what they want! You may be on 40 hours all week then all of a sudden mandatory ot planning sucks! Worst place I have ever worked!

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better! Quit rushing maybe there would be less ncmrs. Pay them the money they are worth. Not like people with no experience!

I have been working at Flowserve full-time

    Pros

It has its ups and downs. There great pay, great benefits, lots of opportunities for training, safety is a priority for the company. Company has done a great job about making cuts without having to lose employees

    Cons

but I think opportunity for moving up in the company takes a long time. Superficial recognition is given for hard work. It is not given with great benefits or shown in the pay.

    Advice to Management

Don't have employees work on their own development plan to get a promotion. It shown in the work they have done, and in the pmp that they put together. Now we have to write autobiographys about our work, very uncomfortable about doing this, and feels very unappreciated.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Flowserve full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly workforce, hardworking and smart. Many long-timers, some in excess of 30 years. Training available for those who want it. A relaxed dress culture with some flexibility on how/when you put in your hours.

    Cons

Always looking to cut costs (of course). Closing manufacturing plants, so prospects may be limited for some locations. Lacking in diversity. Tied closely to Oil&Gas, so expect business (and your compensation) to follow this cyclical market.

    Advice to Management

Some changes are expected with new CEO Scott. He needs to eliminate the "silo" mentality and get all business units working together. Good-ol-boy culture finds it hard to think outside of the box. Continue current effort to reach out to minority groups ex-military, women, etc.
