I worked at Flowserve (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good company to work for with reasonably high staff morale, training offered if you ask for it and the Haywards Heath office is nicely laid out

    Cons

Huge pay cap between staff and managers and the management team live in the dark ages and allocate promotion using the "mates" network

    Advice to Management

Listen to staff feedback and take this on board

I worked at Flowserve as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Extremely beneficial experience. I was lucky enough to be involved in several major projects and even got the chance to go on service trip abroad. Friendly work environment with flexible hours. Some highly intelligent engineers from whom I learnt a lot. Well paid.

    Cons

Limited product range at the location I was working; this was not an issue for me but may be the case for others.

    Advice to Management

Plan long term goals that will benefit the business overall rather than taking it as it comes. Recognise and acknowledge those who consistently work hard, do not take these people for granted!

I have been working at Flowserve full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very nice atmosphere. Friendly staff and flexible work style. Training provided and the pay is good

    Cons

When there isn't work, everything grinds to a halt. Sometimes, the tension gets too much but I suppose it's in every company

    Advice to Management

I really can't think of any at the moment but I think the planning process needs a bit more effort invested into it to prevent last minute decisions
