      Great home for mid-career barbers/stylists

      Pros

The culture support diversity and the company brings in a lot of business. All barbers at Floyd's who put in effort are consistently busy. This is a great place to build your clientele and diversify your skill.

      Cons

The owners of the franchise do not have a history in barbering/cosmetology - they came from the restaurant industry. This results in some decisions that are less "experience driven," and more "instinct driven" on the owner's part. That lack of experience can be a little frustrating, since the owners don't really "get" what the experience of being a barber involves.

Fun receptionist job but busy shops not worth the money

      Pros

Easy concpet, laid back environment, cool people, discounted haircuts

      Cons

Really busy at times, some shops tip you and some done. You are somewhat in a sales position but don't get any incentive or compensation for keeping the stylists books busy

      Pros

A solid career path for stylists, great people to work with, open-minded owners/culture, and I'm able to earn a good living!

      Cons

I haven't experienced any negatives. If I have an issue, I feel I am heard by my manager and we come up with a solution.

      Pros

It's a close knit environment, both at the corporate office and with the field, that encourages your contributions, nourishes development, and has a great company culture. It's a small enough organization that you can have an impact on their growth and they expect such things from their staff. It's a great place to be.

      Cons

      The benefits package is light.
