    Pros

Good place to learn process frameworks under high pressure environment. You get to wear multiple hats as resources are always limited.

    Cons

Legacy products in declining markets forces company to squeeze pennies to grow margin. Parent holding company is looking for cash to make new investments with no real interest to grow existing businesses or people organically. This creates constant stress and hostile environment across the company. Overall it’s a small pond with big sharks. Very limited leadership opportunities to grow internally.

Make great products, but cultivated an unhappy workforce.

    Pros

Fluke makes quality products that customers are willing to pay a premium for. As a Danaher company, Fluke uses the Danaher Business System (DBS), which is an offshoot of the Toyota Production System. DBS is a great set of tools to help increase manufacturing productivity and reduce "waste." Fluke has many intelligent and dedicated employees who are willing to work very hard to make the company successful.

    Cons

-Compensation is slightly below average (part of the cost cutting culture) and most employees are overworked and are at, or close to, burnout. -Parent company (Danaher) is very focused on reporting headcount reductions to Wall Street so this creates pressure on Fluke's senior leadership to reduce FTE's and have those remaining (the Associates, not leadership) do the work of those who's positions were eliminated. -Senior leadership does a poor job of communicating with employees. When management does communicate the message is often comes across as political spin (e.g., glossing over management missteps and downplaying employee concerns) -Poor work life balance. -Career development (company is so lean that there are not many positions and opportunities that lend themselves to developing employees) -Management does not do a good job recognizing and rewarding employees when they do a good job...focus is on the 1% of the time when things did not go right as opposed to the 99% of the time when things go well.

L1 Leadership not listening and it's a shame

    Pros

Danaher, Danaher, Danaher. Great framework for success that will outlast the bad seeds. If you like to work really hard to solve challenging problems in a structured environment, this is the company for you.

    Cons

Terrible technology infrastructure and almost no competent resources to better the situation; too much politics instead of teamwork often causes wasted resources; building/carpet is disgusting and the cubes are life-sucking; HORRIBLE recent changes in director level marketing causing major fallout--exodus of extremely talented marketers is well on its way as a result. Senior level leadership is aware of the problem and expresses sympathy but arguable has done nothing to correct the problem. Real shame.

    Pros

Great people to work with in most departments. Tried and true products that customers rely on. Opportunities for career development. No shortage of challenging problems to solve.

    Cons

Continuous process and leadership changes are difficult to navigate. Less than optimal organizational structure can be cumbersome.

Working at Fluke is a great experience

    Business Outlook

    Pros

People are dedicated, customer-focused, friendly and down-to-earth, and proud to work here. The company has a ton of opportunity ahead in helping manufacturers and others transition to Industry 4.0. Leadership is accessible and interested in getting to know all employees.

    Cons

Departments here still operate somewhat in silos. Also, the company needs more millennials, people of color, and younger leaders to take us forward.

    Pros

A few of the leadership team are really commited to moving the company and the employees forward. Danaher is a great umbrella to be under.

    Cons

HR department struggles to be progressive and has had high turnover. Potential for greatness with solid leadership

Fluke is good to start your career

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Multicultural environment Some nice employee engagement initiatives Concept of using Lean / Business system

    Cons

Nothing is done on development and growth of employees . They hire you exactly to do certain jobs and there is no future of doing different tasks. Intermediate leadership is poor. Inexperienced managers ruin good people and teams. No understanding about work/private balance.
