I worked at Fluor full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits, flexibility, innovative, communication, project rotations

    Cons

The EMT versus regular (PG 23 or less) classifications "class system" needs a reboot. There was much more pride in the company at every level before the profit share system was changed to give the bulk of the profit share the EMTs.

    Advice to Management

EMT and HIPOTS are good ideas on paper, but in practice there are too many junior executives taking advantage of their status.

Great pay. Good way to learn new things abs get trained for it. Friendly atmosphere.

    Cons

A lot of overtime which affects your outside life.

    Advice to Management

    Lessen the overtime.

    I worked at Fluor full-time

    Pros

Very pleasant place to work. Most everyone is friendly. Great benefits (e.g. 401k match to 5% and company invest in 401 with 1 year vested not 5). Great pay, community service/ fund raising, Habitat for Humanity, STEM, etc...

    Cons

Difficult to move into a higher position soon, you'll need to put many years in. (e.g. some people have worked for over 30 years here), although great pay, work is based on projects, and if their are no projects and no where to place you, being laid-off is the only option so save your money.

I have been working at Fluor full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Competitive salary and transparent pay grade system.
    Interesting and challenging projects.
Well structured work processes and set of business procedures and standards.
Reputable company with a large number of employees and decent project backlog. Diversifies in many different business branches, therefore relatively stable workload.

    Cons

Talent development and training opportunities underfunded.
Salary and career opportunities not linked to performance assessment system or links are not really transparent. Low amount of capital and overhead accounts. High fluctuation of workforce, very quickly adapts to workload (hire and fire).

    Advice to Management

Invest into talent development and training.
Improve transparency and efficiency of personal assessment and provide more direct links to career opportunities.
