    Pros

    PTO system is great.
    Management seems supportive of furthering your qualifications (certifications, etc.).
    They are big on saftey and seem like they genuinely care for the well being of their employees.

    Cons

    Not a huge fan of their healthcare options.

    Pros

    Great Compensation, Polished company, Management was held accountable

    Cons

    Some managers were way too egotistical. Company Culture needed a bit of work. Just a few sour grapes

    Advice to Management

    Watch out for those sour grapes they let their egos get in the way of the mission, whilst being somewhat of a tyrant

    - in the middle of Sugar Land, not far to get to from any point of Sugar Land area
    - very diverse
    - different learning opportunities

    - difficult to find a good mentor

    Assign good mentors to new comers from schools as well as from other companies regardless of age

    I have been working at Fluor (More than a year)

    Pros

    Experienced leadership. Established company. A lot of overtime available for those who like to work. Per diem on current project.

    Cons

    Top heavy. Payroll seems to make more mistakes than other companies for whom I've worked. No paid vacation days or holidays for the craft level.

    Pay, benefits, facilities, work life balance, opportunities for growth.

    Cons

    It can be a very volatile job.

    Advice to Management

    Provide a closed feedback loop on projects. Many times, the work I did on projects, I never knew later if there were maintenance, installation, or performance problems on the job site.

    Fluor takes good care of their employees.

    Fluor will lay you off when budgets get tight.

    Pros

    They offer a competitive salary and pretty good benefits by today's standards. You get travel days to go home when working remotely.

    Cons

    No 401k match the first year is a downer. Very little communication and direction from upper management. Doesn't seem like a good environment to get your feet wet in this industry.

    Pros

    Good working team, management was strong on people expanding their knowledge and easily approachable.

    Cons

    I cannot think of any downsides other than Fluor continues to work obtain contracts for working on nuclear power when I think all nuclear power plants should be decommissioned and cleaned up.

    None at the moment.
