I worked at Focus full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A lot of interesting people. Asking for time off wasn't an issue given the large group of techs.

    Cons

Horrible location. Accidents frequently occur on the Ortega, causing delays at least 4 times a month, and even forcing drivers to extend commute by 3 hours. Management is disorganized and entire job seems like a joke. Despite meeting like-minded people right out of college, the job seems more like a high school biology lab. No room for growth and treated like a robot. Overall, you are replaceable and that is made clear by management.

    Advice to Management

Instead of complaining on your high turnover rate, find new ways to satisfy and respect employees so that you don't lose some of your best people. Focus on educating the techs so they don't feel like useless robots.

I worked at Focus full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There really weren't any, except for the fact that a few of us were able to escape together and get out of there.

    Cons

-You are making $8.10 an hour.
-You are standing in Sam's Club every single day and being a pushy salesperson who directly throws products in people's faces.
-There are no benefits and people are dragged in with the promise of 'executive level'- at which you are still standing in Sam's club every day.
-This is a very very cleverly developed marketing pyramid scheme: there are 106 'offices' that work closely together yet no umbrella company.
-Prepare yourself for morning chants that are both cult like and terrifying.

    Advice to Management

    Stop lying.

I worked at Focus full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

i quit before wasting anymore time

    Cons

deceptive job listings saying entry level marketing and sales manager training but really you are the annoying people standing in sams club selling junk. you would be better off at mcdonalds make more money/work less hours. i was working at least 70 hours a week. traveled to different sams each rotation hours away from the office morning meetings and after work dinners. suffocating. no work/life balance your life is only work. no benifits no vacation no sick days nothing and you are paid minimum wage even tho they tell you its commission based. not enough money to live on.
coworkers thought they had something others didnt that theywere the select few with the work ethic to get thro the program. we were all dead eyed and like zombies. poeple always were quitting or not showing up. when someone quit they all said they were weak and not strong enough for sales. more like not stupid enough to work there.

there is no denying this is a pyramid scheme/multilevel marketing scam when you ask if it is they get flustered

    Advice to Management

stop posting deceptive job descriptions and manipulating whats left of your team brian richie
