    Pros

Company is open to fresh ideas and encourage employee suggestions. Mandatory training annually for techs and all management. Strong safety colture and they really do care about work life balance.

    Cons

Foley has been a small company until a few years ago when they aquired two othe cat dealers within the region. With that small company mindset comes some simpleton ideoligy and some of the company benefits are lack luster. Foley needs to invest in facilities and tooling to be able to keep up with industry standards. Foley charges employees for required support equipment such as cell phones and company vehicles. These items are benefits at any other dealer.

    Advice to Management

Upgrade and expand tooling as well as service trucks. Provide better starting wages to experienced technicians.

I worked at Foley Equipment (KS) full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Foley has good pay and steady work. Customers are always looking for good Cat equipment. Foley doesn't work weekend in most departments.

    Cons

Company grew very quickly which has continued to drive a high turnover rate. To many mid level managers that are to busy to grow their employees.

    Advice to Management

Mid level managers should be growing and instructing there people by coaching and training, not dismissing.

I have been working at Foley Equipment (KS) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They treat you like a person, not a number or an asset. I get the same respect as a 1 year employee that a 30 year employee gets.

    Cons

Can't think of any other than the typical cons of any job.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!!!

I worked at Foley Equipment (KS) full-time

    Pros

    Some nice people work here.

    Cons

Upper management is arrogant, pompous, conniving and inbred, Trying to do your job while waiting for a knife in your back is the worst possible job. The written company culture and values are in opposition to the way management conducts themselves.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees instead of using them as scapegoats for your incompetence.

I have been working at Foley Equipment (KS) full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A lot of progressive changes have been made based on the feedback we have received in the past in regards to the interviewing and response process from the applicant standpoint. New initiatives allow us to give candidates feedback from their interviews within 5 business days. Large enough company to be stable but have maintained the family-oriented culture where ideas and changes are valued and embraced but more importantly, acted upon.

    Cons

We don't often have openings in the larger market areas as much as we do in the more rural areas of our territory.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work and building an incredible company culture!

I worked at Foley Equipment (KS) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If (big if there) you find your niche most likely you'll be so happy you'll stay with the company for years.

Good 401K match. Healthcare is good.

    Cons

Mgmt follow through at department level is severely lacking. So much talk of change/enforcing rules, but then it never happens.

    Sales/Rental department lacks ethics/morals.

If you're female and you land in the sales/rental departments you will deal with a lot of harassment/unfair standards.

    Advice to Management

A lot of talk about being real/honest, but in the end facts are often used against people. No true rewards for doing your job really well. Pay raises are weak, no other incentives offered, etc.

    Pros

Fun driving, and working around heavy equipment.

    Cons

Upper management is focused on weaknesses and failures of employees not their strengths. High turnover rate due to firing of employees all the time. Do not give proper training

    Advice to Management

Focus on employee's strength's not weaknesses and mistakes. Quit firing employees and give them support and training.
