I worked at Follett part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    * Follet allows for flexibility in work-schedule
    * Co-Workers are friendly and work as a TEAM
    * Easy job for someone who is looking for entry-level work

    Cons

*Base pay starts at 8.05 part-time
    * Store Managers are not as cooperative with their employees (their titles run their character)
*Not much growth in the company as in pay and applying for upper positions.
    * For me personally, I was working 2 different positions and was getting paid normal wage; I was a sales associate as well as a receiver.

    Advice to Management

Managment needs to sit with employees and hear their perspective on what is their ideal working environment so employees may be able to enjoy their time while getting the job done. Also, there needs to be more character training when it comes to Store Managers because the Store Managers at the location I was employed was the reason many employees left; sometimes store managers let their title run their management and employees see how it can affect the productivity in the work enviorment. In addition, employees who are working under two different positions should receive a raise in pay due to the responsibility of commitment to two different departments.

I have been working at Follett part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly management, easy-to-learn procedures. Many opportunities to learn new skills within the company's software, so you don't get bored doing the same things every single day forever.

    Cons

Doesn't seem to be much opportunity for advancement or pay raise. I'm sure this is dependent on each store, though.
