I worked at Food Town part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Experience and weekly pay.. Cashier, bagger, CSR, positions are very easy (only positions I worked but I could run the whole store if I wanted to)

    Cons

None really.. Just work hard and be ready to get your hands dirty. If you're bilingual (English and Spanish), that's a huge plus although it's not much more pay if you are..

I worked at Food Town (More than a year)

    Pros

Close to home. Good for people barely getting into workforce.

    Cons

Everything. Management. Employees. Customers. Sexual harassment from customers regularly towards many female employees. Extremely low pay compared to other grocery store Customer Service workers.

    Advice to Management

Look up workplace psychology. So much is needed to fix this place.

I worked at Food Town part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Meeting new people, some of your co-workers are nice, and a 30 minute lunch

    Cons

The customers can be a little much, sometimes the meanest people are lower income families.

    Advice to Management

More respect to prior servicemen, I served, didn't gloat. No respect

I have been working at Food Town part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Easy job. Can still have time to do other things outside of work.

    Cons

Archaic company. No hand guns. Cashiers have to pick and scan everything people would leave in carts at up to date stores. Horrible pay. Incredibly slow on giving raises. Overworked employees. Zero benefits whatsoever. Terrible and unqualified managers.

    Advice to Management

Oh wow. The managers completely suck. There is not even a word applicable for them. Absolutely terrible and lazy.

    Pros

    No pros at all whatsoever.

    - Pays minimum wage.

    - Do not give you enough hours.

    Advice to Management

Hire more facers and baggers instead of overworking cashiers for minimum wage, please.

I worked at Food Town part-time

    Pros

Great First Time Employer for teens.

    Cons

Not so great for adults trying to pay expenses. Unless its the 2nd/3rd job had.

    Advice to Management

Need to re-evaluate hours given versus Customer Service goals associated with business.

I worked at Food Town part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Doesn't keep record of tardies/absences, doesn't issue out much discipline to employees

    Cons

Unprofessional managers, no raises are given unless promoted to CSR (which is only 50 cents), ghetto cashiers and baggers, minimum wage job, employees are nothing more than bodies to upper management, some weeks you can work as little as 4 hours or 0 hours

    Advice to Management

Treat employees like humans, and don't engage in sexual activity in office.
