    Friendly work environment, efficient management, flexible scheduling. PTO, health benefits, life insurance program, paid vacations.

    Cons

    Union dues, low starting wages.

    Increase employee wages where deemed fit.

    I have been working at Foodarama Supermarkets part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Weekly Pay
    -Some customers are friendly
    -Some managers (a small few) actually do care about employees
    -Some employees are nice to work with

    Cons

    -Personal relations between workers and management seem to play a roll in business decisions
    -They mistreat employees too often
    -There seems to be a lot of gossip about employees and some claim management is the source
    -They move you from one department to another. This would not be a problem if you had training in the department you are going to which no one seems to offer
    -CEO seems to be unaware of how the store really performs despite his visits
    -You are either given too many hours to balance between here and personal life or not enough hours to pay for the most basic necessities
    -Some customer are very rude they like to take problems out on you directly
    -If you call out sick they fight with you over it on the phone and still expect you to come in
    -Schedule change weekly so there is no planning for personal life. In fact they like to call you on your days off or days you are unavailable in order for you to work
    -The store closes ONLY 1 day a year. Expect to work the other 364 days
    -You starting wage isn't very good at all
    -Management skills seem very poor it is almost non-existent
    -We have a union that seems to do little for the employees

    Advice to Management

    -Become aware of how this store is doing
    -Close the store more often during holidays or at least give employees half days aside from thanksgiving and easter
    -Offer a better wage for workers and be more flexible with hours as you claim to do in advertisements
    -Re-train your management staff so they have the skills needed to handle employees and customers

    Pros

    Co-workers were very friendly and helpful

    Cons

    Extremely low pay, certain managers were very unhappy and often took it out on the lower level employees, working weekends was mandatory, they often forced me to take shifts I didn't want just because they couldn't find anyone else to work them

    Advice to Management

    raise the wages for cashiers

    Great co-workers. Friendly customers, basically good environment.

    Cons

    Upper management,. POOR communication, not a lot of support for workers.

    PLEASE make more of an effort to be in contact with your workers.

    Pros

    people will always need to grocery shop--job security. Union shop with full benefits for full time employees and their dependants.

    Cons

    Very bad at allowing employees to have a balanced work to personal life. retail.. always expected to work weekends and holidays. very physically demanding job.. on your feet for 8 hrs straight

    Advice to Management

    take better care of your employees.. they will take better care of your customers. Trump said that first!!

    Lead a team of employees. Make money for a fast and growing company. Always a challenge to overcome.

    Cons

    Company treats you like trash. Employees are a dime a dozen.

    Treat your employees with respect and you will get a lot more out of them./

    I worked at Foodarama Supermarkets part-time

    Pros

    -Coworkers are pretty cool
    -Pay is slightly better than you'd expect from the job

    Cons

    Managers are a mixed bag, with most of them being godawful. Customers also treat you like absolute dirt. Management generally treats you slightly worse than legally required. You'll probably start to hate yourself if you have this job for more than about a month.

    Advice to Management

    Quit the micromanagement.

    Pros

    You get payed weekly, some coworkers make the awful work environment a better place, if you're lucky you get to take all your breaks.

    Cons

    Awful management both from each department and the overall store manger.
    The ceo is clueless about what happens in his stores.
    HR can't handle anything besides interviews and orientations.
    No room for improvement
    Underpayed for the amount of work they expect you to do
    WORKERS LIVE IN CONSTANT FEAR OF BEING ON THE "BAD SIDE" OF THE STORE MANGER. THAT WILL GET YOUR HOURS CUT AND YOUR WORK LOOKED AT WITH AN OBSESSIVE DETAIL FOR ANY KIND OF MISTAKES.
    depending on where you work you may or may not get any breaks even though they give you a hard time if you don't take them but also give you a hard time if all the extra work is not done in time

    Advice to Management

    Get off your high horse and stop telling all mangers and eveyone that works by your side to treat every other worker on the floor like the are beneath them.
