I worked at Foot Locker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule and a friendly and competitive environment. Great for someone in school. And you get to earn commission

    Cons

Only challenge that makes the job a headache is dealing with the shoe releases. It's not enough shoes for the customers and they have a fit

I worked at Foot Locker full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They offer a great discount. You're able to build long-lasting relationships with customers. Opportunity to network with other employees from different stores.

    Cons

If you don't network, it may be hard for upward mobility; all about who you know. This may go for other jobs, but if you want to have a ranking, you have to develop relationships. As Asst. Manager, you basically manage the store.

    Advice to Management

    Stay positive.

2 Friendships with associates and customers
3 Having the ability to get the shoe first before the customer

    Cons

    1 Pay,

4 not all stores get high valued shoes (i.e Adidas Yeezys, Ultra boosts, NMDs, select Jordan Retros)

I worked at Foot Locker (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great coworkers depending on where you work, the discount is great, and schedule can be flexible.

    Cons

No major room for growth, pay is terrible and no yearly raises, management can sometimes only be concerned about sales and not well-being (never given any formal review)

    Advice to Management

Invest more into training and trying to create long term career path for your employees

Former Employee - Shoe Sales Associate in Seattle, WA

I worked at Foot Locker part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The work environment was pleasant. Potential to earn more money depended on selling extras along with the shoes, but netted me about $5 additional per hour.

    Cons

Folding a lot of shirts. Putting back shoes is annoying. Not a lot of room for promotion.
