I worked at Ford Credit full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

    Decent Benefits, Work life balance

    Cons

Work life balance is contingent on who you get as a supervisor. If you had a good one they would work with you on issues if you were not an abuser of the system. If you had a mean one, your life was miserable.

    Advice to Management

    Care about your staff more!!

I worked at Ford Credit full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

stability, gym, casual, total loss is fast paced.

    Cons

If you don’t want to progress, if you don’t want to continually grow, if you believe hitting objectives but not moving up is okay, if you don’t care about seeing your salary increase more than 3%, if you are okay with bureaucracy and people who don’t manage you on a day to day basis make decisions about your trajectory, if you are okay with being passed over for subjective reasons then maybe you will be okay with this

    Advice to Management

Don’t lie, create a vision for your employees and communicate that vision to them if you aren’t going to allow them to direct their own progression. This isn’t the culture millennials want. We believe in ethical and honest communication

I have been working at Ford Credit full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

There are lots of opportunities to learn new skill sets and move across departments to pad your resume. The majority of the people there are great to work with. Offers PTO and paternal leave. It's a stable job, even if you are low achiever you can rely on having a job here. You pretty much have to try to get fired.

    Cons

High performance does not always translate to promotions. Often times, promotions are delayed for arbitrary reasons that have nothing to do with your performance. There is an obvious preference for a subset of employees lucky enough to be recruited under the what's called the Ford Credit Leadership Development Program (FCLDP). It is common to see peers in this program being given promotions over you despite not having...

    Advice to Management

Reward your top performing direct hires more often with promotions and raises, otherwise you will continue to see good employees using all the time and effort you've put into developing them to go somewhere else that will. Might want to reconsider the FCLDP because it leaves good employees feeling undervalued when they see people in that program move up after only being in a position for 9 months but they tell you that...

"Not an ideal job role or company culture"

    StarStarStarStarStar
Former Employee - Loss Prevention in Colorado Springs, CO

I worked at Ford Credit full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Enjoyed my team and the people I worked with. Building includes a cafeteria and gym.

      Cons

Very strict and bureaucratic company culture. Not given much freedom. On the phone all day on tough phone calls with customers that are past due on their car payment

I worked at Ford Credit full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

Best benefits you'll find. Provides free (high deductible) med insurance. Great training and support. Happy employees and great open door policy.

      Cons

Job Aids and how to find what you need because you cannot hang anything up as reference. Close cubical.

      Advice to Management

Set aside time for employee development, Instead of call after call, allow time to research things throughout the day you had issues with, /stumbling through each call is nerve racking. Listen to youe new employees when they tell you what they need to feel comfortable and how they learn. I asked several times for the chance to shadow someone to observe the verbiage used when discussing touchy conversations. Was denied...

        No opinion of CEO

I worked at Ford Credit full-time for more than 2 years

        Pros

There are some great people that work there.

        Cons

Pay is below average. They lie and say you will only work a few weekends but you will work every other weekend regardless of job. Everyone starts out in collections. I was told I would be a Dealer analyst, this was even what my offer letter said. I then show up day one and am told I will work collections. I had to reapply and interview for the job I was actually hired to do 4 months later. FCDLP workers will pass...

        Advice to Management

STOP LYING TO YOUR PEOPLE!!!! Allow part time employees and work on work/life balance. You are losing 80% of your FCDLP workers because of this.
