I worked at Forest Labs full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, flexible schedule, good products, good incentives. Your work load really depends on your manager.

    Cons

The company is not the same with the new CEO. Delayed rankings, constantly changing how you are ranked, very outdated expense report system that takes forever, each rep sells 4-5 products that are completely different, lower base salary then most other pharm companies.

    Pros

Flexibility to fit in duties as a parent.
Decent support with samples, collateral and contact with managers
Plenty of room for entertainment expense

    Cons

    Drug pipeline was limited.
Some management seemed to not have the respect of upper management
Training was thorough but did not prepare you for the field
Struggle with drugs that were considered"old"
Felt like a food delivery boy

    Advice to Management

Would prefer that there was a better "real world" training system. Use actual doctors, nurses, etc. for training. Figure out a better way to provide information that would help the doctors pay attention. Look for creativity outside of Pharma Code. So much money is spent on non-decision makers to get to to the decision maker.

I have been working at Forest Labs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good company to get some experience in Pharma. Lots of active products with big pipeline and lots of open positions.

    Cons

Pod system of lots of reps in small territories overlapping on 1-4 products, not very many qualified partners. 5-6 products in your bag. Low base salary.

    Advice to Management

Fewer, better reps, more competitive salary

I worked at Forest Labs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility, Income, Car, Helping Patients, Scope of products

    Cons

Management, Busy work, unproductive repetitive calls for the sake of checking a box

    Advice to Management

Treat reps with adult respect, cultivate a culture for managing ones own business, motivate with contests not by micromanagement. Get rid of the internal political noise.

Salary on the lower end, say bonus are uncapped, but not true.

    Advice to Management

Listen to field representatives more, because they are living it everyday. Stop drinking the corp. koolaid
