I worked at Forest Labs full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

FRX was a great place to work. It was located a little off the beaten path.

    Cons

They are out of business at this time. I'd work for the owners of this company any time.

I worked at Forest Labs full-time

    Pros

They were bought out and I got a better offer for more money. Also the new management at my new job had a more maintainable and realistic approach

    Cons

Changing goals all the time the management was ruling by fear. Always working past 5 to get 16 calls. Day which was pointless

    Advice to Management

Less micro managing and threatening. Compensation was great but it was not worth the constant fear and worry from the management

    Pros

Nice people to work with mostly. Education allowance available.

    Cons

I have been working at Forest Labs full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good people I the lab. Very friendly and they make the most of the situation. Biggest pro is that there is a gym in site.

    Cons

No career progression. This is by design. You come in as an analyst and you've hit the glass ceiling. If you come here stay for two years max then get a much better job elsewhere. There is nothing here for you. Sideways moves to QA frequently get blocked. (Unofficially)

    Advice to Management

Create career pathways or continue to lose talented analysts. Nearly everybody there with experience is looking to move.

I worked at Forest Labs (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It was a great company until Carl Icahn decided he wanted to take it over. The company had been family owned from its start and had always been very family/employee oriented. They treated employees like family and in return, employees stayed for many years, and worked very hard for the company because they were happy and enjoyed doing a good job for the company

    Cons

Carl Icahn executed a hostile takeover with one of his minion Brenton L. Saunders, sold the company to a generic pharma company within a month after Brent was named President, and decimated the company. They moved all offices out of NY State within a few months and completely destroyed what was a great organization and treated employees as if they were just numbers, not humans.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees as they themselves want to be treated, not as slaves or numbers on a spreadsheet

    Pros

Most colleagues are fairly nice to work with.

    Cons

Management seems to be out of touch with what is going on and makes arbitrary decisions that do not make sense.
You cannot trust what Brent Saunders says at Townhall. He would say one thing at Townhall and then completely does something else later.
