- "Management is biased borderline bigoted and company policies and procedures are unfair and allow management to pick winners and losers." (in 8 reviews)

Pros
- Company preaches a culture of service and caring, which was well reflected in the staff and interactions with other teams & employees. - Likes to hire from within, room for growth and mobility within the organization. - Got to learn and use new technologies that have become popular in analytics, and management was also open to exploring new technologies. - Monthly all organization meetings and other get togethers promoted camaraderie - open communication from management on where the company was heading. - Only company I've been at that had boss reviews, and work satisfaction surveys. - Good benefits and parks are beautiful to go and have a walk around.
Cons
- On average, tenure is high, which is a great redeeming quality of the organization. The flipside is complacency, and progress inhibited by old ways of doing things. - The company naturally sells to an older crowd, which can make culture feel less progressive as a younger individual in Los Angeles.

Pros
You will meet some of the best people you've ever known at this job. After working there for many years, I would 100% entrust any of the locations with a loved one of mine.
Cons
Company Culture starts from the top and trickles down. There are incredible people that work at FL that truly care and find themselves in this industry as a calling. I would not say the same for the people at the top.

At times, you are reminded of your own death.

Pros
Benefits are nice to have.
Cons
Endless overtime with no end in sight.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Forest Lawn offers decent benefits, full-time opportunities and sometimes catered food for the entire company.
Cons
Forest Lawn is a true testament to the corporate attitude of high performance as a whole and complete neglect for the individual. This attitude of neglect brought about dangerous working conditions during Covid-19 and emphasized the petty clique mentality that is rampant throughout the company. Forest Lawn offers a semblance of counseling that feels more like a determination of whether you are able to perform well for the corporation rather than an genuine counseling service for one’s mental health. This company will work you ragged without blinking an eye and still manage to make you think you chose to do so. This is an extremely high- stress environment with no hope of change in the coming months or even years. They are very much of the mentality; business first, business only. Your ideas and opinions will fall on deaf ears even if they ask you what they can do better. Should you come across a “supervisor” that will offer a listening ear bear in mind that they are still looking out for the company and the company only. You mean nothing to Forest Lawn and they are more likely to let you die from overworking so they can make an easy $10,000 off your funeral expenses than take measures to assure employee success. To add emphasis to this claim during Covid-19 the company had ALL departments still coming to the office until October of 2020 when an outbreak of the virus was FINALLY bad enough to send employees to work from home. While they did have certain sanitation measures in place it was obvious that it was not enough at all to keep everyone safe. If that isn’t neglect for employees, I’m not sure what is. Moving onto the environment; Forest Lawn is extremely cliquey. Working here is like high school on steroids. The cliquey feeling trickles down from supervisors as well as the park presidents alike. All of which often play favorites for certain employees regardless of work ethic or of quality of the job done. If you are good at gossiping with others then you just might thrive here or get thrown under the bus. Bottom line: This company is awful to work for/at. Management both departmentally as well as executives are greedy monsters that probably peaked in high school and this was their only choice of employment. You will not be valued here. You will not be safe here.
