I worked at Forest River full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Loved loved loved the company but if you want to get transferred to another part to move up it's impossible!! So you have to quit and wait to come back.

    Cons

Not giving opportunities to employees to move up because the general manager would rather you quit instead of sharing great employees to management.

    Advice to Management

Help employees get transferred and have better opportunities, when they arise as long as it is moving up, why keep people in lower paying jobs when other divisions want you to help grow theirs, it should be this way for every division to another as long as it's a promotion.

    Pros

Monday-Friday 8-5..decent compensation. Great benefits package. On site training for manufacturing staff.

    Cons

Lack of required training from supervisory staff. Hard to break into the office family. Everyone knows everyone. If you are an outsider you will have trouble in the front office.

    Advice to Management

Review who is the higher management positions. Others working there are more qualified and will actually answer their phone and emails.

I worked at Forest River full-time

    Pros

The people there are nice and friendly and fun to work with. Many have been there for such a long time.

    Cons

They do not pay very well unless you've been there a while. You can be a very good fit for the company, but if you are unable to live off of the low wages, then you have no choice but to look for work elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

If you have employees that you consider to be an asset to the company, then you may want to let them know that they are valuable by paying them more. Maybe offer a company match on the 401K plan.

I have been working at Forest River full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Steady work, at least in the bus divisions.

    Cons

Opportunities for advancement are lacking. Pay does not reflect workload.

    Advice to Management

Quit trying to squeeze every last drop of productivity from the $15/hour jobs. Covering turnover is annoying.

I worked at Forest River full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Fun and challenging place to work. Good benefits. Gained some solid skills to help with future work environments.

    Cons

Not a lot of room for upward movement. If you show interest in advancing or transferring management can make it difficult for you to do so. If your doing good in your job they want to keep you there.

    Advice to Management

    Help people advance.
