    Pros

    It is a job...nothing more!

    Cons

Pay sucks! they treat the staff like slaves rather than workers! Diversity in head count only. People of color, do not expect any real opportunity to grow with this company. You will be "pigeon-holed." Management lacks integrity and cannot be trusted!

    Advice to Management

Have integrity! Be transparent! Be Honest! Treat all equally fairly! People should be promoted on genuine merit not because they are white and certainly not through manipulation schemes!

if zero star was a rating, this company would be awarded the Razzie of the century. It is not even worth giving a one star in such areas as "Culture & Values" or "Compensation." It is despicable!

I worked at Foresters Financial (More than 10 years)

    Pros

If you continuously work hard and not see your family you might eventually be rewarded.

    Cons

The management are puppets to the CIO and have no people skills whatsoever. Everything is made up as they go. Management cannot make any decisions since they are afraid to get yelled at. The CIO will talk to your supervisor directly in front of you about your "bad" performance in 3rd person. He also has a tendency to push you aside and take control of your pc and do your job. Being the smartest person in the room doesn't make you a good leader. There is no feeling of a team environment, which is a shame since there are some really good people there.

    Advice to Management

Remember employees should come first. A happy workforce WILL make everything succeed. Stop beating your employees and talking down to them. You are beating the care out of the entire department.

    Pros

None. Unless you have a knack for selling life insurance to family, friends, and strangers. This is not really an ideal job for someone looking to start a "real" career

    Cons

My ONLY biggest issue was the "false" and "misrepresentation" that I was told in the two interviews. This job is not about management or any real "financial" experience this is a LIFE INSURANCE BASED SELLING COMPANY. They have you sell LIFE INSURANCE with plenty of promises to move to managment or adminstartion but that is ONLY after the fact that you build your business selling life insurance policys for 18 months.

I worked at Foresters Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule if need be. Work closely with one or two trainers. Only not for profit firm in the United States. Pays decent.

    Cons

Worst management and demeaning environment to have ever worked in. Pay is under industry average. Old school database that's behind the times.

    Advice to Management

    Give praise with sincerity.

I worked at Foresters Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good upbeat attitudes. Very knowledgeable on the financial products that they sell. Lots of company incentives.

    Cons

Very aggressive and dirty sales tactics. High turnover, misleading to prospective employees. If you are currently being interviewed by them DO NOT believe everything they are telling you. Most of it is a lie and later they will claim they never told you certain things they promised you.

    Advice to Management

Be more honest to prospective employees. Also, there are ways to sell life insurance that do not make you feel dirty at the end of the day and that should be taught.

    Pros

This is the job for you if you want a long term "career." This is the job for you if you're ok with commission.

    Cons

You get a base salary plus commission during your training period then after that it's 100% commission. This is not your typical 9-5, WHICH NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE JOB DESCRIPTION. They expect you to be there for a few years until you can actually start making good money. Also, YOU HAVE TO GO TO YOUR CLIENT'S HOME, WHICH IS ALSO NOT INCLUDED IN THE JOB DESCRIPTION.

NEW/YOUNG GRADS, IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A JOB RIGHT OUT OF COLLEGE, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE.

    Pros

Very select people that are willling to help

    Cons

Majority of staff very rude, accusing and very very unhelpful.
