I have been working at Foresters Financial full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good work environment, and supportive co-workers

Management is supportive and offers guidance to advance career

Smaller sales desk in a growth phase that offers interactions with upper level management and offers wealth of knowledge would not be found elsewhere.

    Cons

The position entails dialing out to the region you service and to schedule meetings for your external partner, which can get tough, but ultimately this is an entry level position and offers growth opportunities.

I worked at Foresters Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule if need be. Work closely with one or two trainers. Only not for profit firm in the United States. Pays decent.

    Cons

Worst management and demeaning environment to have ever worked in. Pay is under industry average. Old school database that's behind the times.

    Advice to Management

    Give praise with sincerity.

    Pros

Tight-knit office environment. Commission based, potential for high-income if you're good enough.

    Cons

Long hours and lots of cold calling. Expect to work 55-60 hours a week minimum if you want to succeed. One year retention rate is very low

I have been working at Foresters Financial full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Foresters Financial is a great place to work, especially in the Central Jersey Office. There is great spirit and camaraderie in the office, and everyone is like family. There are a lot of successful representatives in the office who are very knowledgeable in the business, and always willing to help. There is also a great support system within the management team that will help guide you as you start off. Foresters is in a growth phase, where there are a lot of opportunities to grow your career. For myself, I have worked with Foresters for about 3 years. I started as a rep, got a promotion to the management team after my first year, and currently I am in line for another promotion within the company.

    Cons

This is not a job where you can slide by doing the bare minimum. It is not an easy business, and is not for everyone, but it is very rewarding.

I worked at Foresters Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good upbeat attitudes. Very knowledgeable on the financial products that they sell. Lots of company incentives.

    Cons

Very aggressive and dirty sales tactics. High turnover, misleading to prospective employees. If you are currently being interviewed by them DO NOT believe everything they are telling you. Most of it is a lie and later they will claim they never told you certain things they promised you.

    Advice to Management

Be more honest to prospective employees. Also, there are ways to sell life insurance that do not make you feel dirty at the end of the day and that should be taught.

    Pros

Paid what you are worth, supportive management, base salary, licenses are paid for by the company, great company/office culture
