I have been working at Foresters Financial full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Foresters Financial has a great training program and the management team provides their support 100%. The working environment is very collaborative and challenging others is encouraged. Great collaborative environment where challenging others is encouraged. This industry gives reps/advisers the opportunity to make a significant amount of income.

    Cons

Very high turnover rate. Must be highly motivated and must not get discouraged by rejection. Work/Life balance could be affected if you have get a good start from the beginning .

I worked at Foresters Financial part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Flexible schedule. Good training program.

    Cons

Push to meet their own needs as a branch / company and sell individuals insurance for the most part instead of being straight up about their financial. As someone who can see through the unnecessary fees of financial advisors and mutual funds it's just difficult to work as a no name advisor.

    Pros

Awesome Training program, learn a lot

    Cons

Put in a box. You will be told multiple times that you are building a business. That you are helping people attain their financial goals, and as a result are growing YOUR practice. This isn’t true; what isn’t disclosed to you is that you are signing a non complete clause and a non solicitation clause (to last a year upon your departure). And it’s purposely not brought up. Read the documents you sign. But it’s poor leadership to communicate and put on this grand appearance that you are building your own business. They will ask you to re-invest into your business. Spend time, blood, sweat, and money into building a “business”. But when you leave, after you’ve realized that they are a propietary company whom only sells its own products; it’s no longer your business. You are mailed copies of forms you signed, that were willingly not explained. This company/leadership with In is distasteful and only care about their own bottom line at the end of the day. It’s actually quite pathetic. They recruit and motivate off false implications and visions. Just be truthful...

I worked at Foresters Financial full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Have an opportunity to grow a business with unlimited earnings. Forester's Advisers really care about their clients and always do the right thing. The training program really is great and the management team helps you throughout the entire process. They don't focus on the results in the beginning, just your activity, which shows they really care about helping you grow a successful business.

    Cons

Long hours/nights in the beginning, just like starting any business. You really have to have a big local network in order to be successful in the beginning.

I have been working at Foresters Financial full-time

    Pros

Having the ability to help individuals, families & business owners get their finances in order, identify their goals and pave a path for them to get there day in and day the best part of my job. The support i received from my managers and the other advisers in the office has been the biggest reason for my success. The training is awesome!

    Cons

This career is not for everyone. You must be truly dedicated to helping others first, have a determination for success and a work ethic that exceeds your peers. The training program provides everything you need for success its just a matter of taking advantage of it which not everyone has the drive to do.

    Pros

Supportive team environment Payout is one of best in industry Training program industry leading New products

    Cons

None- but you have to work hard. All of the other reviews of people complaining are due to lack of work effort which causes failure. No hiding behind that.
