I worked at Forever 21 part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a pretty easy job once you got the hang of it. At least at my location, everyone got clothes from the numerous full racks in the fitting room, and you would walk around the store looking for the correct rack where each item goes. People were assigned sections, like so and so would work in Plus and "Girly", others in Children and Men. Speeds up the process. Management acted more like friends than managers, which made talking to them about situations and getting training difficult. You rely on others that have been there for a while to show you the ropes. The employees are nice, and while the pay wasn't the best, it's a decent job if you're on break from school or need a simple part time.

    Cons

    Poor management and training
    No consistent hours

    Advice to Management

Teach the new employees! Often the new people coming there, it will be their first job. You can't get mad at employees for not doing things properly in the store if you don't bother training them.

    I worked at Forever 21 part-time

    Pros

Good if you like working alone or busy work

    Cons

They keep you hours later than when you're scheduled, store is an absolute mess at the end of the day so it takes a very long time to clean up. You're working alone most of the time and don't get to interact with your coworkers much.

    Pros

Pretty easy work. You pick up fast. As long as yo do your job and do it well. you deserve the hours and the recognition you'll receive. You'll also be more qualified to move up within the company. It isn't difficult work.

    Cons

There are limited opportunities for advancement.

I worked at Forever 21 part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Coming to work of course! But creating friendships with a great team of coworkers and helping customers. Also seeing repeat customers and that's about it.

    Cons

One word "MANAGEMENT"!! Forever 21 was a great experience for me I've been working there for three years. I've done everything from unselling credit cards and meeting the quota for the week, training a team of new cashiers, multitask with running the fitting room door and being the sorter on extremely BUSY DAYS! I even stayed later when the managers "favorites" either called off or never showed up. My attendance is superior never called off and was always on time. I was in training for lead of service but that changed instantly when another employee who just got hired and even called off a few times( I covered their shifts) got promoted and transferred to another store I then knew I was doing something wrong. I never got any feedback as to why I couldn't continue my training but I kept quiet and continued to love my job! But Overhearing managers talking crap about me and in the same sentence high favor who they promoted gave me the opportunity to seek a job else where.

    Advice to Management

Not sure if forever 21 corporate reads these reviews but the management that you guys hire really need management training classes.

I have been working at Forever 21 part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Friendly coworkers and managers
    Supportive team and leads
    Employee Discount

    Cons

Employee Discount is only 10% off
    Unrewarding work experience
Hefty hour cuts if your store doesn't make budget

    Advice to Management

My particular managers do what they can to help the employees, but company policy prevents employees from having a good work experience.

I worked at Forever 21 part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some nice coworkers, register is easy to master, got paid well since I had past retail experience.

    Cons

Forever 21 was retail hell. Nothing was organized, managers didn't know where things were, nor did other coworkers. I was once yelled at for trying to help a customer. There is little to no training on the floor. Customers are angry and messy. Hours differed from 10-30 hour weeks, making it difficult to plan for. Breaks were sometimes forgotten. Since quitting, I have not even shopped in a Forever 21 and dislike the company as a whole.

    Advice to Management

Things would run a lot more smoothly if associates were actually trained to do their job instead of just pushed out onto the floor and expected to figure it out. Also, literally knowing where anything is would help.

I worked at Forever 21 (More than a year)

    Pros

The only pros I can think of is that you are able to make friends. Work wise, I don't think there's anything.

    Cons

Bad management. Bad corporate. Bad coworkers. Literally bad everything. I've worked with a lot of people who had also worked here for years and we can all agree that the company don't give out a generous raise.
