I worked at Forever 21 full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You'll be able to learn to work in a fast-paced environment & meet talented, friendly people. I've kept in touch with the people I've worked with from F21 over the years which speaks to the quality of people working there.

Everyone knows of Forever 21, so it's a good foot in the door or stepping stool for those looking to get into the fashion industry.

    Cons

Management and overall company processes/protocols are lacking. It is difficult to take the initiative when there are many approval hoops to jump through to get things done. Additionally they do not pay well or provide room for advancement or salary increases, which leads to a high turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

If you value your employees, show them in their pay.

I worked at Forever 21 full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Starbucks, A few decent co-workers, Young population,

    Cons

ILLEGALLY tracks salary employee hours by tracking badges
Hiring salary instead of hourly so they don't have to pay overtime
9-10 hour work day is normal, don't expect to work 8 and get away with it
Executives are old school they say harmful, discriminatory things like it's normal
It smells like chemicals in Buying
All the smart, qualified people left fast
Most departments are filled with unhappy, inexperienced, or dumb people
College degree not required to be in a management position
Sucking up and complimenting managers/directors will get you far
If you get an Exceeds Expectations review, some will get paid at a Meets Expectation bonus due to "cost savings"
HIPPO values are a joke: Mr. Chang threw a fit when he saw that people were waiting in the Starbucks line for 10 minutes instead of working
You are a $ sign, not a person

    Advice to Management

You just keep getting sued over art work and illegal employee practices. You left such a nasty taste in my mouth every time I hear about this company. There is not one positive thing to say about working here other than I wasted my time learning how to do my job wrong.

    I worked at Forever 21 full-time

    Pros

    Cheap food at onsite cafeteria.

    Cons

Unqualified managers, extreme red-tape, no one knows what they are doing and errors are slipped under the table, it is an extremely unethical company full of unqualified candidates due very low-pay. Racial discrimination,if your not Korean you are screwed. Horrible PTO only 10 days off, and 6 holidays. Needs to go through several levels of approval for minuscule things. Extremely unorganized company.

    Advice to Management

This company is horrible it needs to be sued. Sadly their arbitration agreement doesn't allow much room for that.
