    I worked at Forever 21 part-time

    Pros

I worked fro one of the highest grossing F21 branch in the LA region, which meant having a flexible schedule.

    Cons

Horrible management. Requires a great deal of commitment because the company is overall unorganized. Sales associates/ cashiers are often asked to do things outside of their scope of compensation.

    Advice to Management

Please pay close attention to who you hire as your store managers.

I have been working at Forever 21 part-time

    Pros

The other associates that I worked with were very friendly and the management was wonderful.

    Cons

Because it is fast fashion, many customers were pushy and easily frustrated with the associates and management. In some cases, management seemed pitted against each other or clique-like.

    Advice to Management

Keep a positive attitude and team atmosphere with management and the associates.

I worked at Forever 21 full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was a good starting point to get my foot in the door towards my career. You form good working relationships with coworkers. I liked the casual/trendy vibe of the Corporate world.

    Cons

The major complaint of most is the pay, it's way too low and not fair across the board. You can have a tenure employee with a workload of many getting paid less than a new employee with no experience. This is not a Company to stay in for the long run.

    Advice to Management

Value your talent, take it down a few notches on the favoritism, obtain feedback from your employees to what they need to succeed. Give a fair opportunity to all for growth.

I worked at Forever 21 full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Learn a lot
    Fast pace
    Top trends
    Visual aspects
    Stay on your toes
    Communication skills advance
    Critical thinking skills advance

    Cons

    Upper management
    Late nights
    Lack of resources
    Messy store
    Always short staffed
    Pay rate
    Employee discount
    No customer service employee support

    Advice to Management

Give stores the resources (payroll) to maintain a good store. Stores will always be busy and we need employees to keep it from falling apart. It is way to fast pace and overwhelmingly busy for there not to be staff on your sales floor. If you can't provide your stores with the resources to succeed, don't expect them to succeed.
Stores are messy and require tedious work to clean up after customers. You should invest on over night employees to recover your store the envionrment of your company should have taught you that 4 pairs of hands cannot spend an additional 4-5 hours after closing cleaning up the mess yet still not leaving the store at 100%.
You should care more about your employees. F21 employees work extremly hard even on good days and a measly 10% discount is not a way to show appreciation. The company does not value their employees management teams come and go and they prefer to hire from outside rather than promoting within. The company does not seek to teach and help employees grow in the company.

    Pros

    Meeting new people, employee discount

    Cons

Always on your feet, outfit restrictions, working the dressing/fitting room by yourself (and it can get really crazy), really young managers that seem to not have enough management experience, only receive a 10% discount, if you close then there's a very high chance that you'll still be at work WAY after the store closes

    Advice to Management

Hire more experienced managers, have more than 1 or 2 people working in each department
