I have been working at Forever 21 full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Your store team becomes your family. Working with new product every day keeps things interesting.

    Cons

You can only work 40 hours a week and are disciplined if you go over. Sometimes it’s impossible to get everything that corporate wants completed for the week in 40 hours so you work off the clock. Either you get in trouble for not getting things done or you get in trouble for working overtime. It’s a lose lose. There’s no incentive to work for the company. The employee discount is a joke and bonuses are rare. You’ll be overworked and far underpaid.

    Advice to Management

Let your full timers work overtime. The stores will look better and the customers will be happier.

Considers themselves the primary employer and more important than school

    Advice to Management

Understand your fellow management is struggling too and that working together will go a long way.

    Pros

    -Up beat environment
    -made new friends

    Cons

    - only 10% employee discount which is like only $1 off purchases unless you purchase something more expensive
    - not enough hours.. ( When I first started working there I had good hours now i'm down to like 2-3 days of work a week.. and I have a good availability.. they are just choosing to not work me a lot)
    - Black out dates for the holidays where you can't ask for time off under no circumstance even if its months in advance, they don't care
    - I swear that the employees who open the most credit cards are the ones getting the good hours

    Advice to Management

    -communicate better
    - don't play favorites with employees
