    Pros

I worked on many projects. Being an intern kept me busy and my mentors treated me as an employee rather than an intern. And no there were no coffee or printing assignments.

    Cons

Work was slow in the start ... you need to ask for more work

    Advice to Management

    Peace!

    Pros

Technically challenging if working on the right projects, smart colleagues, informal atmosphere

    Cons

Grew big and successful too fast, Lack of systems and organization, frenzy of fast-paced development work instead of doing it right the first time.

    Advice to Management

Better organization and clearer communication on details (not just high level)

    Pros

Good benefits. Free fruit twice a week and snacks at employee meetings in good times. Middle management is good, allows employees lot of latitude without micro management.

    Cons

Upper management is bloated. Too many VPs trying to run day to day operations instead of figuring out long term strategy.

    Advice to Management

Trim the fat in upper management for lean times. Lose non performing and revenue dissipating groups without playing favorites. Resist old boys club type think.

    Pros

    Interesting technology and smart coworkers.

    Cons

Not much strategic direction fromsenior management. It does not seem that the management cares much about the employees.

    Advice to Management

Refocus the company on product excellence during this downturn. Drve product development thorugh a realstic development process.

    Pros

Close to home, decent benefits and pay.

    Cons

Many. Amateur management. Review meetings are usually spent finding a victim and publicly humiliating that individual. Promotions and advancements are based on cronie-ism.

    Advice to Management

Promote staff based on performance, not who sucks up to whom. Also, be professional. There is NO reason the publicly dress down any staff member. There are waaaaay too many VP's for a small company. Remove at least half of them. Finally, remove Mario, Igor, Ben Eldrige, and one or two more from the payroll. They are the primary reason that FormFactor stock is in the tank.

    Pros

Technology is very good and unique, work in general is interesting and dynamic, very talented and capable technical people. Although work load may not allow it at present, management is supportive of work-life balance as a principal. Fundamentally in a good niche market with high long term potential

    Cons

Scrambling to regain market share, many parallel technical efforts being pushed without adequate staffing and resources - too hectic and dynamic. Attrition is getting to be high,
and in a place where systems are not in place, that is a significant loss of know-how, making it difficult for the persons remaining to carry on. Company grew too fast for its own good.
Company prefers to getting outsiders (from more established companies) for key leadership positions rather than growing employees from within.

    Advice to Management

Need to be more customer friendly,
    Develop and promote from within,
Invest in systems to reduce inefficiencies and costly errors.
Develop competency in other areas in addition to spring technology.

    Cons

    Leadership was lacking
