I have been working at Forsyth Institute (More than a year)

    Pros

I've been working at the Forsyth Institute for 2 years now. The salary is ok and the people are super nice.

    Cons

The administration is a little bureaucratic. Altogether, I can't say anything negative about the Forsyth Instute.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Forsyth Institute full-time

    Pros

Small community of scientists with broad experience, opportunities to be had for energetic and motivated scientists, is world leader in its research field. Recently "overhauled" in management and pushing forward.

    Cons

Suffered from poor leadership previously, some negative attitudes remain,

I have been working at Forsyth Institute (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is a large amount of flexibility with work schedule, and the benefits package is pretty remarkable given that it is a non-profit. The institute automatically contributes to a 403b account after 6 months of work, regardless of the employee's contribution or lack thereof.

    Cons

Salaries for non-faculty and those below senior-level management seem to be below the average, especially for the Boston/Cambridge biotech sector. If you do not have a PhD, there is little career advancement opportunity within the organization.

I have been working at Forsyth Institute part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

All the benefits, and time off you can get. But that's it.

    Cons

Well first I'm not exactly sure who I answer to but I'm definitely scared to answer to one of them. I literally have 4 people I have to ask for a day off. Management need a change. Some people have priority there and do get special treatment.

    Advice to Management

Everyone be treated equal and like adults and not being rude if on phone with an important phone call. Take a look at all the people and there time at Forsyth Institute.

I have been working at Forsyth Institute full-time

    Pros

Great retirement, good benefits, most of the staff is awesome. Great location

    Cons

It seems that the higher ups are filling their pockets while driving the place into the ground. President is never there i havent seen him since June. There is so much potential for this company but it is just run wrong

    Advice to Management

Start getting rid of the people that get a paycheck for doing nothing and get the place running proper
