I have been working at Fort Bend County Libraries full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Family type atmosphere. Believe that family comes first. Friendly people and fun work. Nice government benefits and good insurance. Medical clinic available to employees and immediate family members.

    Cons

Must be a people person and enjoy dealing with the public. Pay scale not great. Administration needs to take into account the work of the "little guy".

    Advice to Management

When making changes that effect lower level or even middle tier workers, get their opinion.

    Pros

Convenient timings, easy to start, safer place to work

    Cons

    Less growth opportunity, sometime boring

    Advice to Management

Better if temporary personals are given opportunity to work more hours and absorbed into regular role after six months of service.

I have been working at Fort Bend County Libraries part-time

    Pros

The greatest place I've ever worked. Great environment, assignments keep you busy without overbearing you, and the management cares. If you like books and helping people, then you'll like working here.

    Cons

    None I can think of.

I worked at Fort Bend County Libraries part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Loved the environment, got exposed to tons of books. Great people to
work with in a professional environment. Would work there again

    Cons

Part time pay was not great. I would recommend to others though
despite that fact because there are tons of internal openings. You
can move up if you have the right skills.

  6. "Hated the job, loved the people"

    Pros

Had a chance to meet some great friends.

    Cons

Their was no room for growth. Interviewed many times for the chance to move up with no go.
