I worked at Fortune Cookie full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Supposed working hours, free fruit for breakfast every day, some nice people, but not many.
    Head of development was lovely.

    Cons

The management structure was confused and disorganised, certain project management staff were horrendous, delivery times were unrealistic, creativity was stifled, line manager should never have been a line manager. Little personal interaction, never felt welcome.

    Advice to Management

Be consistant, listen to staff, communicate honestly

  3. "Great people, nice culture but conflict between small/large agency mentality in management"

I worked at Fortune Cookie full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good tech and design expertise, decent plan for career development. Good communication between international offices and people are driven to deliver something special and take pride in their work.

    Cons

Some internal processes adversely affect quality, e.g. under-selling. Some conflict between feeling like a small agency but introducing more corporate ideals - felt like a number at points and not valued.

    Advice to Management

    Pay attention to the individual

  4. "Egotistical management, awful creative and a depressing place to work"

I worked at Fortune Cookie full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The working hours are possibly the only pro

    Cons

There always seemed to be an air of depression as people hated their jobs, the structure and the management style. Creatively the agency is led from an agenda set out over a decade ago with strategic/creative thinking the last on the agenda. Budgets where whittled away by the account teams having chewed through the budgets with internal meetings and planning.
I always felt that the management team had their own agenda and it wasn't about creativity.

    Pros

Here are some reasons to work with Fortune Cookie:

    1. Opening hours are from 10AM to 6PM.
    2. Central location.
    3. Plenty of office space
    4. Professional atmosphere
    5. Flexible allowances with working from home.
    6. Family oriented

    Cons

Working at Fortune Cookie is a priviledge but employees are asked to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. The procedures that are installed in the business can be tedious but ultimately make the company stronger and it's offering second to none.

    Pros

Work at Fortune Cookie starts at 10am so you miss the craziness of London's rush hour. The company really values their employees and they like to show it: from offering real career progression, monthly massages to keeping the fruit bowl topped up.

The people here are passionate and professional. Fortune Cookie invests significantly in training both internally and externally.

The quality of the work produced is top notch and people take real pride in it. From a package and salary perspective Fortune Cookie tracks the market to make sure the packages they offer are some of the best in the industry. While everyone here works hard they like to ensure that employees are up to active and stimulating things outside the office!

    Cons

There is always so much going on! The company is growing quickly and changing so retaining the culture is a challenge.

    Advice to Management

Continue to bring in new and experienced talent and delegate more!
