I worked at Forward Air full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None at all to give the next driver as this company does not have any pros

    Cons

Their equipment with tqi division always breaking down and trailers as well spent more time in shops.pay sucked as well.management is a joke they dont care about the driver they would rather blame the driver for something they have not done then as well falsly report information to prospective employers following service with their company which screws over the driver with other prospective employers and harms the driver from ever being able to get another job in the industry even with good service following their company.going to be seeking an attorney now since the company wants to cause defemation and wrongful reporting of work record.

    Advice to Management

Get your company to accurately and truthfully report a drivers record of employment or face a defemation lawsuit as of now.also treat your drivers with more respect and you all need to look into drivers manual page 32 paragraph 4 needs and must be clarified for team operators before you screw them over then leave them stranded in memphis,tn and the driver having to find their own ways home.

I worked at Forward Air as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Brand name. Newer equipment. Electronic logs. Training is good. Good locations(except ohio). Lots and lots of Joe Dirts(whites with mullets). It's difficult, I've struggled to find ANYTHING positive here.

    Cons

The culture, the people, the runs, the customer base, the dispatchers, the culture, culture, culture, culture, culture, culture, culture, culture, did I mention the culture SUCKS!?

    Advice to Management

You will fail. Maybe not today, not tomorrow, but, this company under current staff will fail. Guessing the CEO is part of the issue....the fish stinks from the head down...ciao!

I worked at Forward Air full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Once you are hired in, you can pretty much do whatever with no work in mind. It was equal to a McDonald's play place for 3 year olds. Most managers didn't care because they hated their job as well. They only cared if their butt was on the line for one of their employees actions.

    Cons

Overworked, shaved paystubs/hours, little to NO advancement opportunities and the salary was horrible compared to industry.

    Advice to Management

No advice - they are a turn and burn company and will admit it and could care less of their reputation, as one manager once said, "we will find plenty of people to work for us, people need jobs these days".
