I worked at Four Seasons Health Care full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some good change initiative around quality, compliance and care. Up to date systems in use that seek 360 service user and staff feedback also. Top level leadership seeks to inspire

    Cons

A reputation of very financially driven due to investors, huge focus on occupancy and agency, some unrealistic expectation of recruitment and quality based upon pay rates for rural areas

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on quality and balance with , a bit more realism and support with commercial outcomes. Consider pay rates of lowest paid care staff to improve candidate attraction, retention and quality.

I worked at Four Seasons Health Care full-time

    Pros

Some good people working in the finance office and most colleagues/managers are supportive & helpful when needed. A pretty relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

    Cons

Company is extremely top heavy at senior management level and are constantly making changes, they give the impression that employees lower down on the ladder dont matter very much. Also the company dont really invest in staff and any formal training is rare.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees, maybe try giving them more perks it doesnt have to cost much if anything at all - your staff are more likely to stay loyal to the company and go that extra mile for you when they feel valued and supported!

I have been working at Four Seasons Health Care full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Their values and motto is good and they have high standards in regards to the care they provide. It's also nice to know that you are making a difference to people's lives.

    Cons

It can at times feel like it's just a business to them. It is very expensive for residents to live in their homes. They take no notice whatsoever of their employees.

    Advice to Management

Management need to take more time to speak with residents and families in their homes to further develop the care they give and should also speak with staff working in their homes. They barely come in to check if residents are enjoying their time living in their homes and never ask staff if they are happy working in them.
