I worked at Four Seasons full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Great work atmosphere (from Resort Manager down to employees)

    - Opportunities for advancement depending on performance
    - Fantastic benefits & travel opportunities
    - Constant growing & learning atmosphere

    Cons

For food & beverage specifically, not the right position for one looking to have "normal" hours and holidays off (although candidates should know this knowing that a hotel is open 24 hours/365 days a year).

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work & continue to encourage people to believe in themselves and work hard to achieve their goals.

I worked at Four Seasons full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Mostly friendly coworkers and well paid so everyone actually enjoys their jobs. Supervisors and the lower management are usually honest and appreciative and everyone tries to get along. Pleasant surrounding to work, free meals.

    Cons

Some higher management sometimes gives the impression on being royalty, and regular workers subservient, but tolerated. Some inappropriate behavior with banquet set up and temporary server personnel, cultural differences, age and a slight language barrier of not speaking english well it is to be expected at a lower paying employer perhaps, but not at a higher standard, high paid lower level position.

    Advice to Management

Enhanced HR methods of integration and professionalism training would solve some of this with the younger workers they hire to integrate better with older more experienced career employees. Also less HR surveys on the thoughts of how they and management are viewed as the time and efforts could be just put into more professional tutoring resort wide for encouraging more productive behavior from younger less experienced houseman, and temporary servers.
Upper management and HR could do less fluffy large resort meetings that basically pat the backs of the same department managers meeting after meeting, and the upper management, and HR royalty who get maybe too much compensation and benefit of their positions for the lack of productive impact on operations and cohesion of the employees as a whole that really provide the majority face and good service to most all of the guests.
