    Negative Outlook

I worked at Four Winds full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

After three years I was offered what was to be a better job and higher pay. Turns out the pay was less, and I got stuck working through Christmas. When they laid me off in 2008 with the recession I was given no compensation for my vacation time. I had gone 1 1/2 with no vacation.

    Cons

Pay, Lack of Vacation, NO BENEFITS, None!! The last year there they didn't even pass out turkeys at Thanksgiving.

    Advice to Management

Treat people with some respect, you are not Gods.

    Pros

This is a family owned nursing home. Not only a good place to work but a good place for your family to reside in comparison to other facilities in the area.

    Cons

This is employment "at will" so you can be out of a job at any moment.
There is a lot of Dementia as far as residents are concerned...
