    Pros

The pay is decent and working apart of a team in a restaurant kitchen is a strong skill to develop and have.

    Cons

The work is demanding and you have to able to put up with the hurdles that are associated with operating in a kitchen.

    Advice to Management

Best advice I can give to management is to keep the kitchen stocked with ample food and try to fix maintenance issues as soon as they occur, so that business isn't harmed by problems in the kitchen.

    Pros

Good working atmosphere, easy to communicate needs to management, fast pace kitchen, friendly co-workers mostly, fairly good scheduling some times challenging lunch and dinner rush

    Cons

pay is not equal to similar restaurants, ordering of enough product is erratic, they need to fix pars to better match sells. some conflict between morning shift and evening shift on stocking.

    Advice to Management

Cooks will work harder if you pay them better and help them work as a team. work on better incentives like a contest for most ribs put out or something along those lines

I worked at Fox & Hound Restaurant (Less than a year)

    Pros

    1) Very easy job, pretty much all you do is greet people and ID at night because the bar becomes 21 and up after a certain time.
    2) Decent money for the minimal work you do

    Cons

    1) Very long hours on your feet
    2) Horrible management, some of the managers were rude to you for no reason at all and basically scrutinize everything you do
    3) Dealing with rude guests who think that they're above the law being carded when they look over a certain age
    4) Like many restaurant jobs, it comes with a lot of drama between coworkers

    Advice to Management

Quit hiring a bunch of drama queens and people with attitudes. Ease up on your workers because you stress them out to the point of quitting.

I worked at Fox & Hound Restaurant (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun working atmosphere, great corporate incentive to do well in sales (cash rewards, store credit, gift cards, trips). There's always a new promotion or upcoming party to keep things lively and interesting.

    Cons

Management just cares about pleasing upper management, once you're hired you become just another worker bee. I was hired under the premise that I was going to be moving up the ladder to management fairly quickly (I had been bartending and training for management at my previous employer), but eight months down the road I hadn't even made it off of the sales floor.

    Advice to Management

Don't tell your employees you "don't even remember hiring" them when they're resigning because you haven't given their hard work any recognition whatsoever. Recognize when people go above and beyond with no incentive or direction to do so, the servers are what keep the restaurant running and you should appreciate them.

    Pros

Fun place to work. Always a lot of things going on and you have control to do a lot of things to help you increase business

    Cons

A lot of things to focus on and execute well. There is not a lot of structure that point you in the right direction.

    Pros

Simple 10 hour shifts, when there are enough managers in your store, great atmosphere and wonderful training program. Advancement opportunities.

    Cons

Poor upper management. High manager turnover rate. Just closed a lot of stores down.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the store managers, they are the ones who see the day to day operations in each store and don't micro manage so much.
