I worked at Foxtons full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

    1. Can be good pay 2. Good learning Experience

    Cons

    1. Very long working hours , 8-8 monday to friday and every other saturday 9-4 ( you will often be pressured to come in an do a couple of viewings on your day off) 2. Company cars are a plus, However the fleet department are very un helpful- any work needs to be done through them and this can leave you without a car. also you will be required to often park in areas for viewings where you will get tickets- they will make...

    Advice to Management

    1. Be nicer to your staff and don’t overwork them ( they may be more productive) 2. Don’t set unrealistic targets and then have a go at staff for not meeting them

    I worked at Foxtons full-time

    Pros

The training is good but they know how to drain you with work and pay you the worst salary you would ever imagine.

    Cons

Long hours, they don't care if you have a break or not, many times I had no lunch in 12 hours work! Salary is very bad compared to how much they make you work and you work every other weekend so you have 6 days off a month! You get a car but if you scratch it they always make you pay around £600 to fix it! Most of the positive reviews they force you to write them while you working there for an incentive! (I was forced...

    I worked at Foxtons full-time

    Pros

Great training week Get to meet alot of people

    Cons

This job is very long unsociable hours, and it isn't for someone who has a good heart and is honest, when you arrive at your office the exictmtent of your first week shadowing can soon fall sour. Your forced to call the same applicants everyday, who other offices are calling also. Your basically harassing and annoying applicants for the call time and to make a sale. There is no real support in the office you work...

I worked at Foxtons full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

      none that I can remember

      Cons

      - every other week 60 hours + (when working a Saturday shift) - lots of pressure from seniors, which is really unhealthy and thus provides for an uncomfortable environment - your yearly income plus the amount of hours you’ve worked is basically minimum wage - worst work life balance!!!!! - the worst job I’ve ever had.

I have been working at Foxtons full-time

      Pros

A good crash course in property, great training.

      Cons

If you aren't a natural people person dont even bother to interview here. You wont survive or progress. Some of the recommended operating procedures I would consider come very close to wasting both buyers and vendors time. For example incentivising viewings for the sake of the figures seems pointless to me. Also much of the advice is very unhelpful, things like when taking someone on a viewing to see properties not...

      Advice to Management

Be less hypocritical, admit that what is being done is for business reasons not out of corporate responsibility. Accept the market you are in, dont launch a massive propaganda campaign against your own staff about it, it just comes across as willfully blind.
