    Pros

You are given all the tools to go out and make a lot of money. Training provided is world class.

    Cons

Long hours Once you stop banking, you are made to feel very small.

    Advice to Management

Once someone has been in one office for three years, maybe it would be good to start allowing people to explore other offices if they so wish.

Thank you for your review and all your hard work. Foxtons is a true meritocracy with unrivalled career progression both vertically and laterally. I would suggest chatting to your Area Director about how you feel and whether you may be considered for any future opportunities.

    Pros

    Cons

Weekend work is very exhausting when you don't have a day off in the week Basic Salary

    Advice to Management

Increase the basic salary - £10,000 is not enough. Also increase the basic salary for rare negotiators and senior negotiators to make it more of a promotion.

I have been working at Foxtons full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I completely fell into this industry by accident and it was the best decision I ever made. The training firstly is absolutely second to none, by starting your career here you certainly learn by the best. I love that the company doesn't hire externally, the managers, directors and anyone senior to yourself have all been where you've been and can always give sound advice. One of the big things for me is the perks of...

    Cons

The only negative for this job is the hours. We work long hours and at weekends for a reason, we need to accommodate the times for everyone outside their working hours. The good thing is that our commission structure compared to the majority of other agency means the pay is very good if you work hard.

I have been working at Foxtons full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The people I work with, the banter in the office ensuring it's a fun environment compared to the stereotypical estate agency set up. The ability to write you're own paycheque each month and earn serious cash. The cars, the trips abroad, the help and support from managers and direct interaction with directors make it a company that can ensure a successful career path is ahead of you.

    Cons

Its what you make of it here so the negatives will all be in your head.

I have been working at Foxtons full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I moved to London for a fresh start, didn't know anything about the city it self or some of the companies in it, Foxtons being one of them. I was referred by a friend who already worked for Foxtons and was impressed by the company from setting my foot through the door. Everyone at the HQ was smiling, friendly and it immediately made me think "I would like to work here" I joined the company in Oct 2014 and since...

    Cons

I won't deny that the job can be very stressful and I probably have a few more grey hairs at this age than what I would like. However this is made very apparent to you when you take the job. You can sometimes put a lot of work into a deal for it to withdraw last minute and you not receive a penny. I never thought that I would do a commission based job and this is one of the pitfalls that people should be aware of....

    Advice to Management

I think Foxtons have already made some big changes in terms of the working environment for its employees. My advice to senior management is keep going the way you're going, I think Foxtons is head and shoulders above the rest of estate agents to work for and I am looking forward to progressing my career at Foxtons, continuously learning and overcoming new challenges.

I worked at Foxtons full-time for more than a year

    Pros

For me the whole experience was mind-blowing. I was enthusiastic, motivated and loved the company from the first day there. The training is intense but interactive and fun. I was blessed with an amazing manager that made every day entertaining but still kept us working hard. The car, targets, office nights out, quarterlies, Christmas parties are a sweet reward for working hard so you get to socialise within the company...

    Cons

Unfortunately I had to leave because the basic salary was too low for me to be able to pay my outgoings in a very tough market where deals don't come easy. Working hours are way too long for the salary you're getting.

    Advice to Management

Work-Life balance is important to keep your sanity. Reduce the hours. Finishing at 19 instead of 20 will help you retain people. Or increase the salaries if you expect people to work until 20:00. There has to be a compromise from your side towards your staff if you want people to stay. Money, Hrs or maybe a bit of both ? Miss working there, wish you all the best in the future.

I worked at Foxtons full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I give credit for Trainjng scheme and how organised everything is in this company and that's it. However, what's the point when most people are put off completely by the company that rather decide not to continue in the property industry. What I don't understand is why they spend so much money on people knowing that they are not going to stay with them!Right? I think one good thing I did like about going there was...

The whole experience is shocking! Even the little good things fade away next to the negative points. Unfortunately, there is a lot of negative points to share! This company likes bullying their staff, that's how their managements style is.
