I worked at Foxtons full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

      none that I can remember

      Cons

      - every other week 60 hours + (when working a Saturday shift) - lots of pressure from seniors, which is really unhealthy and thus provides for an uncomfortable environment - your yearly income plus the amount of hours you’ve worked is basically minimum wage - worst work life balance!!!!! - the worst job I’ve ever had.

I worked at Foxtons full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

Being an office coordinator at foxtons is a good 'first step' job, it will enable you to get some office experience, and other companies will respect that you worked for Foxtons in interviews.

      Cons

No work/life balance. They are perfectly happy to screw you over, and a situation has to be at its worse before management will step in.

      Advice to Management

Just because someone earns an office money, it does not mean they have be aggressive and abusive to other employees - it should have been dealt with straight away, properly.

I have been working at Foxtons full-time

      Pros

      - Seats with cushions only some has none. - Tissues in the toilet (cheap ones you need a shower at home ) - Director has a good toothpaste sponsored by company so he can smile giving an impression of wellness within the company. I think this is 100% correct. - Water is Free and Screens are Large LCD display.

      Cons

I don't know where to start... - Overpriced products. - No work Life balance - Staff are just people who need money to buy noodles from Poundland. -Jealousy, competition and favoritism all the way. ** As a current employee, I am ashamed and embarrassed to work here. Looking work actively elsewhere.

      Advice to Management

      - Give up! I am sorry you have such an awful family life no wonder half of management spouses are a disappointment. ( I wont go personal here as I know a lot of things. )

I worked at Foxtons full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

I guess the company car could be seen as a pro. If you like driving around in an advertising board (Trashy looking green and yellow mini with Foxtons written all over it) and enjoy being charged through the nose for everything - parking fines, traffic violations, scratches, bumps and criminal damage (which you will get because Foxtons are widely hated by the general public). In a role where you are required to drive applicants...

Where to begin. - Work life balance: I think it's really important that if you are considering a role with Foxtons that you understand the true lack of work life balance. You will work 8am to 8pm, Saturdays and, when I worked for them, Sundays as well. But don't worry you do get 20 days holiday each year! ** You will be made to feel...

      Advice to Management

This post isn't directly going to make anyone MONEY, so it is unlikely any management will ever read this. But, just in case someone does read it, my message would be STOP. Just treat you staff like people, the worst thing is that because Foxtons only promotes from within, management have all been put through the ringer when they were juniors and as such I think feel they have to torture the next generation. Incentivise...

I have been working at Foxtons full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

I have worked for Foxtons, a little over four years now, it has been and continues to be an extremely rewarding job. The progression in my career has been fantastic, our Training department offer support throughout our careers here, as well as our management team and Mentors. I've had support throughout, both professionally and personally. I've got many title roles in my position as I continue to work my way up. Foxtons,...

I have been working at Foxtons full-time for more than a year

      Pros

The training and company car ( which you never get to use for your social life because your always working )

      Cons

I thought that working here would be great as that’s how they make you feel in the beginning. At Foxtons the hours are 67+ hours a week and you are put in big trouble if you arrive even two minutes late. The pressure after the first few weeks is unbelievable! There is no work - life balance. I hated this place so much I could not wait to hand in my notice and leave. Anyone who thinks this is good because of the money...

      March 8, 2018Recruitment Manager

Thank you for your feedback. We are very clear (and proud) that working at Foxtons is not a 9-5 job due to the demanding nature of the London property market. We offer outstanding career opportunities, an uncapped salary and additional benefits to reflect the commitment required. ...

This company is perhaps not for everyone; a person needs to have a genuine wish to work hard in order for this to be the right opportunity for them. Striking the correct work/ life balance can be a challenge in the first six months or so; new starters will need to focus on getting this right as soon as possible. This is a competitive environment which might not suit everybody, but the culture of competitiveness is...

zero work/life balance, with absolutely no flexibility in the hours, the relentless 8-8 6 days a week with no days off in-between is excessive. I worked at Foxtons full-time

      Pros

The play music in both front office and head office!

      Cons

Back-stabbing workers, no such thing as friends here, everyone is out for themselves. Micromanagement from 'team leaders' who think they are something special when really the power of managing someone else gets to their head. Advice to Management

Why do you think so many people leave? Stop micromanaging people, tell your team leaders to have some respect, half of the people their have not got a brain-cell in their head. They only know how to 'con', 'persuade' and 'bully' people into selling and letting their properties!

I have been working at Foxtons full-time for more than 2 years

      Pros

Satisfying and rewarding when you sell a property especially at the top end great people to work with

      Cons

long hours, work life balance non existent, awful basic salary, you are screwed if something doesn't complete before pay day, I had a run of four months with basic pay as you are reliant upon too many factors i.e solicitors, brokers, lenders, applicants, you're constantly having to chase them

      Advice to Management

up the basic pay and you might have people staying longer, close on Sundays the God given day of rest
