I worked at Fractal Analytics full-time

    Pros

Great place to work. Great people. Pretty much employee friendly. Lot of learning opportunities if one harnesses.

    Cons

Lot of intervention from middle management during promotion cycle and not during work.
HR Policies need to be little more flexible.

    Advice to Management

It had been awesome experience and would love to work back
    Great people
Just that we should not move it into an IT culture and environment
Fractal should remaian a pure Analytics Data Science & AI company only.

I have been working at Fractal Analytics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Good for learning
    - Good work life balance
    - Good flexibility
    - Good client exposure

    Cons

    - No appreciation for efforts at all
    - No bonus
    - not very common to receive the variable pay promised as part of CTC
    - Management only focuses on products whereas services is the real cash cow
    - Team politics and partial behaviour
    - Promotion only after discussing with all the managers in the account ( how would they know if they do not belong to the same team)

    Advice to Management

    - AI and ML being the definite future, focus on developing business skills in the employees as well. More importantly, appreciate the ones you already have.
    - Appreciate the employees working for services as well.

I have been working at Fractal Analytics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible timings
Great facilities for employees like food and cabs at night.
The Place is gender equality and everyone is treated with respect. Infact there are few good policies such as maternity leaves and sabatical.

Srikanth vision is a big plus. Its inspiring.
    Increment and appraisal cycle

    Cons

-Middle management is interfering in things they are not supposed to.
-Few manager act as if they owns us eg there are people principles but not in our team. We don't even get our 21 leaves and have to sometimes work on holidays too.

-work life balance has gone for a toss as we are supposed to always be available.

-The work is repetitive in nature.

    Advice to Management

Srikanth : I personally admire you and your vision and love to be part of the journey to reach the goal you have set for Fractal. However that being said it's difficult to survive in such hostile conditions for long. This things are not limited to one team but many other teams.

Special advise to HR team please look into the behaviour of managers towards the reportee.
The reason people are leaving the company is because of such environment being created at work.

    Pros

    Open Environment for learning
    Flexible work timings
Great learnings about business and tech.
Opportunities offered to freshers at Fractal are superb. No other firms offer such opportunities to freshers.

    Cons

    Cannot think of any.

    Advice to Management

If you are portraying the company to be a generic management consulting firm rather than a hard core analytics service provider, start treating the people accordingly. Salaries and perks should be upgraded. Freshers hired from tier 2,3 are not paid according to industry standards.

    Pros

-Good colleagues and food available in the company
    - Work life balance (not for all)
    - Srikanth is a very thoughtful person but unfortunately not many are like that in the company

    Cons

    - Worst Place to work in
    - Middle management issues are at its peak. People who don't know what is analytic and fit for just to talk are managers
    - Poor IT infrastructure
-Everything is done for the sake of money and promotion and work ethics at its worst and people principle is a scam
-Favoritism prevails throughout the company and lack of accountability throughout the company
    - Lack of work and firing of employees
    - Company creates a lot of difference among employees by creating grades and varied salary structure based on nothing but favouratism

    Advice to Management

Do have some ethics and take care of managers and you know they dont do justice to their roles at all

    Pros

Good facilities, in regards of food and transport. In general new employees are happy with such facilities. Wonderful celebrations, picnic, offsite, make the employees to enjoy the work.

    Cons

Work culture has changed. The whole atmosphere has changed .My manager says even if you are in the hospital or on saline you need to check your mails and have to be active. What kind of Managers works here ?

Even its been commented that if I have worked from outstation being on leave I haven't done something 'Great' .Very sad to work with such Manager!

Lots of favoritism takes place. Employees are given high skilled profile even though when they don't have much experience. And employees who are serving good amount of tenure in the company are ignored.

    Advice to Management

Kindly have some logic and justification while giving responsible job profile to a employee who is less experienced and have some humanity while asking people to leave.
