    Pros

When I think of some, I'll let you know

    Cons

This is an updated review to the first one I left titled: "Don't Waste Your Time"- posted 05/18/2016.
I left the company and started the process of withdrawing my 401K from Great West Retirements, which became Empower Retirement.
Let me just say that taking this job and investing in their 401K plan is not worth your time. Save your money and sanity.
I AM STILL IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING MY MONEY.
I believe Fragomen uses a FAKE retirement accounts company. I've had such a bad experience trying to get my money that I left a yelp review and reported them to the BBB.
Apparently anything that is tied to Fragomen is tainted and will leave a BAD taste in your mouth. I worked there full time for 2.5 years and I'm still dealing with the fallout and trying to severe ties.

I cannot stress it enough- DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY.
Due to my experience trying to pull out my 401k funds, I've updated my new review to 1 start vs. my original 2.

We are of course very disappointed to hear of your experience, and assure you that Fragomen has a competitive 401k program managed by Empower, one of the nation's largest 401k providers. Feel free to ... More

    Advice to Management

Stop playing favorites with a few and appreciate those that give up their weekends to get the job done.

    Pros

    Cons

Long work days especially during cap season and management can show favoritism. Not really a place to advance your career

    Pros

Opportunity for overtime pay, decent work-life balance for about 9 months out of the year (excluding busy season when you are expected and in some instances required to work late and/or on weekends), casual fridays, good benefits, nice people, supportive environment

    Cons

monotonous case work, very high volume, busy season (Jan-March) where you are all but required to work late into the night and on weekends, dreary office environment, located in financial district (that may be a plus for some but not for me)

    Advice to Management

    Pros

-Great office culture in San Francisco, everyone is very friendly and supportive
    -Interesting work
-Constant training in new visa applications
    -Convenient downtown location
-Attorneys are very accessible and helpful
    -Mobility between the offices

    Cons

    - Very few "perks" compared to the surrounding tech world (no transportation reimbursement, free food, work from home, laptops, etc.)
    - There is natural turnover with assistant paralegals going to law school

    Advice to Management

Thanks for all of the fun office activities and celebrations!

    Pros

Great place to learn Corporate Immigration. They really have a lot of resources and plenty upward mobility. The firm does try to make folks mix and mingle with the 3rd Thursday parties, where they put out a great spread of food and also serve wine and beer.
    Paid Overtime

    Cons

No balance. Plan to be overworked to the bone... You will work long and stressful days. You will never feel like you are caught up with your workload. Management sucks.

    Advice to Management

Support your team and make sure you help contribute to a fun and happy culture.

Glass ceiling for non-attorneys, superfluous and officious HR management, senior management often made changes before thinking through consequences.

    Pros

They hire fresh grads who are looking for some experience. However, this is mainly due to the high turnover rate.

    Cons

They don't invest in their employees at all. They overwork them and have no interest in making any changes, except for maybe a cosmetic one here and there.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your workers and give them a reasonable workload.
