    TOXIC

    Pros

    Great PTO time, great benefits.

    Cons

Horrible management in the ATLANTA office. This place is essentially a white-collar sweatshop. You are set up for failure on a daily basis and you are only as good as your last mistake. It is a toxic environment to work in and HR does not care at all about the working conditions. I saw paralegals cry regularly because of the verbal abuse spewed by the attorneys. I have now been at a different firm for about 7 months and the difference in how paralegals are treated is night and day

    Pros

My time at Fragomen gave me the relevant work experience needed for the next steps of my career. It allowed me to establish a great network and trained me to work in a demanding working environment

    Cons

The compensation may not be the best. Also, the office can be cliquey by location and by department.

    Pros

It's a given that a law student needs excellent time management skills to balance work and the heavy workload of school. That being said, Fragomen has made this challenge so much easier. The office's positive environment has helped me feel valued and enjoyed coming to work every day. Not only I have found a valuable support system in the people that work here, but also everyone I directly or indirectly work with is always willing to help and teach. Lastly, the support I received here has inspired to continue to work hard at office as well as in my studies in the pursuit of my academic and professional dreams.

    Cons

No Cons and just pros in my experience

All staff is overworked and underpaid; expect to work overtime

Sep 21, 2021 - Business Immigration Lead Analyst in Toronto, ON

    Business Outlook

    Pros

    Nice people, that's about it

    Cons

You will be working overtime constantly, with no support from management. Expect to be underpaid unless you are about to leave, then they will promise you the world. A lot of employees with health issues due to overworking. Overtime is a guarantee, you will never work the 37.50 hours that they promise. You will end up clocking out and keep working like everyone else here does, because they do not approve overtime, and / or it is frowned upon to ask for overtime. No work-life balance. Most people who work here are immigrants who will tolerate a toxic work environment and women who are not the main breadwinner of their household.

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Opportunity to work as part of a large firm, some very pleasant clients, fairly good compensation for the immigration field.

    Cons

Accounts are very poorly staffed and unable to handle the massive volume of casework. Clients are constantly deceived into believing that there is a 'team' preparing each case. Sorry, but it is not true. Entry-level paralegals operate with very little oversight and few check-and-balances to ensure quality of work. There is absolutely no work-life balance. Turnover is extremely high and the work environment morale is awful - a large number of paralegals and attorneys only stay for a few months. Emphasis was on profitability rather than client service. Partners are surprisingly unaware of the substantive law.

    It was an okay job

    Jan 13, 2021 - Team Support Specialist

    Business Outlook

    Pros

The benefits were pretty decent, gave back to community

    Cons

boring office job. it wasn't a fun environment to work in and no motivation or positive energy from coworkers. there is room for growth, but slow growth. the pay is not worth the job at all. the only Employees making money are the attorneys and partner attorneys. they work you overtime and acknowledge your hard work, but they do not take care of their support staff at all. raises are rare. high stress environment for minimum pay. and Karen who is HR is no help at all. she is extremely rude, and does not work well with the employees.
