I worked at Framingham State College part-time

    Pros

Was a comfortable place and since late shift when no no customers were around we could watch the waiting room television or watch Netflix sence it was a walk up style helpdesk

    Cons

Got boring some times when it was a slow night

    Pros

I was able to balance my schoolwork with my work study and learn how an office runs. Increasing levels of responsibility the longer I was there.

    Cons

More opportunities to work longer hours would be nice, but I honestly had a great experience here!

    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

Small college/university, personal attention to students. Nice people to work with. Close to Boston but not hectic like Boston.

    Cons

Campus is uneven, mostly hillside. Some buildings are pretty old. The weather is not great. Classes got cancelled frequenlty during the winter.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Pay is good compared to other universities, and professors are friendly providing a welcoming collegial atmosphere.

    Cons

FSU is a state school and subject to budget cuts and regulations. No healthcare for adjunct teachers even though they may work 20 hours a week or more! Parking is difficult. Facilities old and in need of updating.
