    Negative Outlook

    I worked at France 24 full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Very multicultural environment, a great variety of missions and it is still a young media so there is still much to do for ambitious people.

    Cons

    It is a public company so it's harder to make it move. Hey, it's France! If you're bilingual French/English, you're career will go faster.

    Advice to Management

    At the very beginning of the channel, the management was trusting more intelligence than academic background. It tends to change because those reponsible for hiring are not journalists anymore. They don't take risk anymore...

    (Translated from English)

    Pros

    * Des collègues sympathiques

    * Un bon site, facilement accessible depuis Paris

    * La cantine du personnel a de bons repas subventionnés

    Cons

    * Les collèges peuvent se montrer pas très professionnels

    * Des normes éditoriales basses

    * Une charge de travail élevée récompensée par une petite paie

    * La direction et les employés manquent de motivation et d'allant

    Advice to Management

    Hissez les normes rédactionnelles et essayez d'envoyer les reporters sur le terrain. Au lieu de dire constamment que l'entreprise ne peut pas rivaliser avec les chaînes d'information en continu plus expérimentées, déterminez des objectifs clairs pour vous
