    Pros

FranklinCovey is an amazing company to work for. Company culture is very positive and values-driven. We work hard to practice what we preach and reward good work. Competitive salary for those in a sales role who are meeting business development goals. The company promotes an entrepreneurial spirit in its workforce and gives employees the freedom to find creative solutions for our clients. Communication to a dispersed field can be challenging but management works hard to connect with their teams regularly and the c-suite holds regular company-wide updates to keep us all in the loop on the company's direction.

    Cons

Support roles could be better compensated. As a publicly-traded company, the drive to grow can be challenging but new products and comp plans seem to be addressing that.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in innovations and content. It's amazing to see the breadth of our ability to develop meaningful content.

    Pros

The content that you sell and teach is life changing. Best in the industry.

    Cons

Always felt constrained on budgets to please stockholders. Not many resources.

    Advice to Management

Keep evolving in this rapidly changing industry!

    Pros

The publications are the best resources

    Cons

Leadership and management are stuck (comfortably) and aren't looking to progress the company.

    Advice to Management

Think outside your 'club' of lifers and if you indicate you want diversity of thought in new hires as you preach and sell to clients, then practice diversity of thought starting with your leaders and down to support staff.

    Pros

Worked there for 23 years. Loved the company and culture. Enjoyed going to work everyday and worked with amazing people.

    Cons

Insurance plan is a high deductible plan. Pay is a little low. Department closed and unfortunately there was nowhere to move within the company at the time to continue my career there.

    Advice to Management

Management is good at Frankin Covey. Advice would be to hold on to good employees and not look at just cutting costs.

    Pros

Great access to the content and great flexibility with being able to work from home. Learned more in 2 years about business than I did in my previous 10 years working.

    Cons

The job required a lot of travel, way more than was initially talked about and it was only increasing. Great job if you like travel, horrible job if you don't.

    Pros

Great company with a great culture. Always positive during meetings and great leadership.

    Cons

As a new client partner it is tough to ramp at the pace they expect you too. Changes to the compensation structure also made it difficult, your salary is only guaranteed for the first 90 days. Make sure you understand the compensation before hand. Also, the travel is brutal. Be prepared to be out a lot. Covey expects 300 face to face meetings per year!

    Advice to Management

Create a mentorship program to help newer client partners. For Client Partners in the field, it was difficult to find appropriate resources and find constructive criticism. You don't know what you don't know and having someone there to bounce ideas off of or to attend meetings with would have been helpful.
