I have been working at Franklin Electric full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good culture; solid IT leadership; good IT operational processes. Great coworkers, active efforts to have fun and build up the team. IT management is very transparent and they show genuine appreciation to their people. They mean it when they say, "...my door is always open."

    Cons

While a leader in their industry, it's still something of a niche market they play in. Since the company includes 24x7/follow-the-sun manufacturing, aspects unique to that industry impact IT operations. However, those impacts aren't terribly different from other organizations that have a global presence.

    Advice to Management

Please continue efforts of showing appreciation to staff. This goes a long way in career satisfaction and encourages everyone to go the extra mile.

I have been working at Franklin Electric part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have worked at Franklin Electric for over a year and a half, and my opinion is quite high. They treat their workers with great respect form what I have seen and are very understanding that we have lives outside of work. Franklin Electric is a rather conservative company to when it comes to taking risk, which makes me comfortable about a long term future with the company.

    Cons

Pay as an intern is higher elsewhere, however it certainly isn't all about the money.

I have been working at Franklin Electric full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I started over 5 years ago. Work is not hard and workers are very friendly. Always work to do so you very rarely get sent home

    Cons

Management and office don't seem to care about employees. Raises don't match cost of living. Turn over rate is extremely high.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees a little more they are out there doing the work. They know better then some office person who has never done job

I worked at Franklin Electric full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company is great to work for specially if you are creative and have initiative. Field service includes travel but also allows flexibility.

    Cons

Sometimes it gets lonely working on your own but can be a benefit for those who do not want to be held back by a straggler.

    Advice to Management

If its not broke don't fix it. Hire the right people and watch.

    Pros

Excellent health insurance, good pay for our area,401k

    Cons

Favoritism, select few "supervisors" need more training in people skill...GOSSIP, RUMORS

    Advice to Management

Really need to work on getting those who DONT work out rather than keeping them for 30+ years... And letting those who do work have a chance ...supervisors are great at running good workers off while keeping those who set around gossiping
