    Pros

Immediate supervising Manager was very good.

    Cons

Extremely low wages, does not pay for mileage. You are given one hour to complete a project. During this hour you must include time traveled to your destination, time spent working on project and typing and submitting reports from your home office.

    Advice to Management

Please do more for your employees, it is an unfair wage.

    Pros

I was a college student at the time so having the ability to make my own schedule was amazing. I enjoyed the work and the pay.

    Cons

I was going on my third year of working here, but they forgot to tell me that their contract with my school had not been renewed. Communication could be better.

    Advice to Management

    None

    Pros

Work independently, challenging projects, great reporting system on-line. Of all the merchandising companies I have worked for Franklin has the best quality control on the service they deliver.

    Cons

Independent contractor status makes for headaches at tax time.

    Advice to Management

More communication from managers and leads.

    Pros

A very flexible schedule, allowing to work around your children's schedule.
The pay is very good for the hours stated.

    Cons

However, you do not get paid on most contracts for admin. Or I should say, they do not include admin or printing cost into the payment of the job. You only get paid for the time in the store.
I never met any one from the corporate office.

    Advice to Management

Visit your staff once in a while.
Walk a mile in their shoes and know not everyone can afford to pay for 50 pages of printed material every week.

    Pros

Most positions are run from your home office.

    Cons

This company has smart people working for them but management doesn't have the authority to make decisions. Time is wasted and bottom line is affected by poor leadership that doesn't act on advise from people working in the field.

I worked at Franklin Retail Solutions full-time

    Pros

Sporting goods industry is a fun industry, majority of employees are capable and motivated.

    Cons

The owner of the company is delusional and not trustworthy. Despite decades of experience in the industry, the leadership team is ineffective, manipulative and lacks focus.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the future by recruiting new talent, retaining your current all-stars and stepping out of the way. Company was far more successful when owner was not involved in day-to-day.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

The team of people actually doing the work are stellar. There have been employees that work extremely hard to make a difference and are committed to success.

    Cons

There's a lot of talking and very little action.
The "leadership" team is not trustworthy and the owner speaks terribly about the employees.
Regardless of the steadfast dedication of employees, there is no recognition and the employees will ultimately be blamed for the shortcomings of the company and the loss of business.
The company culture is non existent. There is no leadership in the company. The owner is lost and the president is unfocused, unproductive and ineffective. There is no company wide communication. The president has to be the yes man to the owner or he won't be the president any longer.
The review posted on this site that are positive are clearly from the president himself. There are only about 30 employees and no employee would write this type of glowing review.

    Advice to Management

Stop driving talented and committed employees away. Start taking responsibility for the loss of business and truly start caring about your employees. They shouldn't be "disposable" as you like to consider them to be. Get to know this business.
