I have been working at Franklin Templeton Investments full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This firm fosters a culture of genuine and helpful employees. There is an open door environment that makes it very easy to seek opinions and guidance from peers or leaders.

    Cons

This is a large corporation that does not move quickly as a result of its size. This is a large corporation with extensive resources, but it is also a conservative company for better or for worse.

    Advice to Management

Continue to foster an open door environment and make the firm more accessible and willing to bring in younger, new talent with fresh ideas.

I worked at Franklin Templeton Investments (More than a year)

    Pros

The people I've worked within the same capacity have been more than willing to help out. Team mentality except in certain departments. Fiduciary Trust Company Int'l being the exception rather than the rule.

    Cons

If you want to work with a company for over 8 years and think they would have your back to move on to new positions, don't look here. They provide promotions with no new training. They promote to upper management, those who are not qualified. They have unreasonable expectations for the newly hired employees and that those in upper management aren't capable of meeting. What year do we live in that people get timed for bathroom breaks?

    Advice to Management

Provide training and not from lame ducks. this isn't a presidential race. It's a company with real people as employees who are barely struggling to make a living!

I worked at Franklin Templeton Investments full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great place to start career and learn the business. Competitive but collaborative environment. Benefits are amazing. 75% 401k match to the IRS limit.

    Cons

Hard to put much into 401k early on as they start you very low. Management picks favorites. If you are on their good side you will be fast tracked. If not, you could be stuck in very low paying job for years.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within. Actually pay attention to what employees are doing instead of only looking at reports.
