I worked at Fred Haas Toyota World full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free food on Saturdays. $150 mini 25% commissions $250 new pack $750 used pack 2 days off every week. Other sales associates there are typically fun to work with.

    Cons

Packs for the used cars are actually higher than what they tell you. Sometimes you will make $2000 front gross only to check a few days later and find out that the gross has suddenly dropped several hundred dollars due to random reconditioning fees. The amount of traffic that typically goes through that location is not very high. And the hours are unnecessarily long for the little amount of traffic that this... store has. You have to work from 9am to 9pm 4 days of the week. You only get one day out of the week where you work a proper schedule. Meeting on Fridays and Saturdays last over an hour long! Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest days of the week for this store. You will be mentally ready to come in to sell. But then you have to sit through the most demotivating hour of your life. Its brutal. Favoritism everywhere (That is expected at every car dealership) Don't expect to make any money since the "easy leads" continuously go to a select few people.

    Advice to Management

    1. Don't add reconditioning fees after a vehicle is sold. Price it properly. That way the sales associates can sell used units and make a proper living. And stop pricing every single vehicle as a loser deal online. 2. Fix the schedule. A lot of people are unhappy with having to be there while there is barely any traffic or customers to go around. 3. Just address problems quickly in the meetings. Stop trying to... have life changing motivating speeches every Friday and Saturday. Nobody cares. 4. Distribute the BDC appointments fairly. Since one is able to take phone-ups, at least give out the phone-ups fairly.

I worked at Fred Haas Toyota World full-time

    Pros

Saturday's off, ok benefits for full time staff

    Cons

Expect you to work 6 days a week, with little time off. No base pay, commissions only. Sales people get charged back for repairs to sold units. Lots of $100 mini deals

    Advice to Management

Encourage sales team with more achievable bonuses and daily cash spiffs. Used car department or Make Ready should pay for consumer complaints or repairs, not the sales team.

I worked at Fred Haas Toyota World full-time

    Pros

No Pros. They bought free lunch on sundays

    Cons

Crooks. $100 minis. You'll only succeed in this business if you lie. Co-Workers! Most of them drink on the job. Half of the sale staff looks like they didn't even graduate high school. Some of the sales reps (during downtime) sit in the cars spend hours masterbating. No wonder why some employees at this store smell like urine+cologne or alcohol+cologne or smoke+cologne. Its true what they say about the... car business. You only succeed in this business if your upbringing was really screwed up

I have been working at Fred Haas Toyota World for more than a year

    Pros

Pay plan allows for the opportunity to make some decent money...on paper Three paydays/month...10th, 20th, and 30th

    Cons

Commission calculations are complicated and you have a really difficult time proving mistakes from accounting. Of the three paydays/month, only ONE is run through accounting so all taxes, insurance, etc come out of this one check which is a huge chunk...the other two checks are guesstimated at 65% of what commissions are owed to you at that time, to cover for taxes. Buddy system between sales staff and some... managers/directors is rampant...you're basically on the point or bribing for house deals by buying lunches for managers.
