    Pros

The pay for experienced claims personnel is on the higher end of the spectrum for insurance professionals in this geographic market.

    Cons

Outdated claims operating systems, the inability to make simple decisions without extreme scrutiny and approval from upper management, terrible benefits (time off is not the industry standard), and directives are often not translated to all personnel changing often with no real justification.

    Advice to Management

Upgrade the operating systems! This would drastically improve efficiency for your employees. Offer adequate training (especially to professionals new to the industry) to avoid extra-contractual obligations and the headaches that come along if those files must be reassigned to a higher level. Bottom line: invest more into the talent of your employees and streamline upper management - there are too many cooks in the kitchen.

I worked at Fred Loya Insurance Agency, Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy money if you can sell. Plus not really a physical job more mental. Did have a week vacation once year was up. Also HR was great she was always there when we needed her.

    Cons

Management takes advantage of hard working Csr. Generally let's the 2nd in command do all the work. Also gas was not paid for in training and using your car around town as well. To market or make deposits ware and tear are not covered.

    Advice to Management

Needs more room for growth within the company I order to keep hard working Csr's.

I worked at Fred Loya Insurance Agency, Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I learned a lot about insurance policies and how they work - It is beneficial in the long run.

    1 hour lunch

    Weekly pay

    Small rewards for outstanding employees

    Cons

Very long hours talking to customers on the phone with no breaks in between calls. The process to set up a claim is long. A lot of people quit by the time training was over because there is so much information to learn. We even had to ask to go to the rest room! Pay sucks considering everything we had to go through. Customers were rude, managers do not understand you, you get written up for every little thing you do wrong, and if you go to school, they expect you to show up on from Monday-Saturday to catch up on your hours.

    Advice to Management

    Respect your employees.
    Give people a raise.
    Stop getting mad at everything.
If you really care about making this company and department a better place, then hire more people so we can give the best customer service quality without having to worry about all the damn calls on hold!

    No commission
    Faulty quote software.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better, don't write them up for everything.

    Pros

The customers were friendly and easy to talk to. Coworkers became good friends. Fast paced fun when not overwhelmed. You lear alot. Good place to get your feet wet in insurance.

    Cons

Waaaayyy overworked and underpaid. We work harder than other offices from other areas but due to our loss ratio being so high we will NEVER bonus while people who work in slower offices get paid way more than we did at one of the busiest offices in Los Angeles. We worked HARD and get paid $12/hour speaking English/Spanish doing alot of work and being professional at all times.

    Advice to Management

Be nicer to your employees. Hire more people. Let people take time off once in a while...stress KILLS!!!! make hours 9 to 5 monday thru friday only. Appreciate the opportunity you gave me but you NAG over any little thing even though i was one of the only employees to reach and exceed the ideal monthly sales goal of 20 sales per month while others lagged behind you get a "good job" and one unpaid Saturday off for all your hard work. You should bonus those who do reach the goal...that'll light a firecracker under all their bums!!

    Pros

Good pay, and health benefits. They now give you a lunch hour. You can bonus up to 14 an hour.

    Cons

Didnt care about its employees, unwilling to work with school schedules. Very disorganized, sometimes with departments wouldnt be cooperative in working with you. You have to jump through loops (it feels like) to ensure drivers now a days.

    Advice to Management

A heads up with good time window would be much appreciated. It sucks that a lot people lost their jobs because yall changed the hourly schedule within a weekend. It also sucks that no employee is ever in the loop about things, sometimes not even the managers are. You guys are super disorganized, probably headed towards ceasing to exist.

I worked at Fred Loya Insurance Agency, Inc. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Short shifts
    Hourly pay/ bonuses
    No commission
    Pays for your insurance license
    Really good health insurance providers

    Cons

    Terrible management
    No real training
    No commission
No growth unless you know some one
    Not professional at all
You only get 5 vacation days after a year
You only get 5 sick days for a year
You won't get more vacation time until 2 or 3 years
They need Doctors notes for everything, even to use one sick day.
Employees quit after 3 -4 months

    Advice to Management

Fire all your managers, they lack professionalism. They lack real training, their people skills are poor. The reason why every one keeps quiting is because of your management.

I have been working at Fred Loya Insurance Agency, Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

YOU WORK 6 DAYS A WEEK. Management is not really management because they have to go through Regional, and they speak to as if you're a peasant. They pay metrics is a joke. I've never had a job that makes you wait 12 months for PTO! It's a "family" business, but they don't care about anyone's family and needs but their own.

    Cons

They hire with no experience, which allows you the opportunity to get experience for the insurance field.

    Advice to Management

Your employees are adults not children, we have families and lives outside of Loya!! So treat us as such if you want any type of loyalty.
