I have been working at Fred Meyer full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Better staffed than most retail pharmacies.

    Cons

Outside management tries to regulate things they know nothing about. Implements software changes without notifying employees.

    Advice to Management

Before telling staff that they can handle extra work, work with them to see how they manage what they already have.

    Pros

Good associates create a good atmosphere to work in. The company treats you right, for the most part.

    Cons

Average pay. I'd like to make more money for all the things that I have to take care of.

I have been working at Fred Meyer part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great coworkers, decent wages though it is a union job. It can be quite fun some days and if your looking for a decent paying easy job this may be for you

    Cons

The right to change your schedule with 48 hours notice and they do it so often it is impossible to have a life. And favoritism is heavily shown by who gets overtime while others who are vocal about wanting it are ignored

    Advice to Management

This is actually for Kroger Corporate but back off and let us do our jobs stop making changes you are screwing it up and going to cause the company to fail. Why did Kroger buy a One-Stop shopping company and try and turn it into strictly grocery that's not what Fred Meyer is

I worked at Fred Meyer part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

discounts (20% of apparel, 10% electronics, 10% off certain food brands), Friendly coworkers, Great management( for the most part), associate appreciation, semi steady hours.

    Cons

It's retail so you have to deal with rude customers. Slow sometimes during the week. Busy holiday seasons.

    Advice to Management

Compared to other jobs I've had Fred Meyers management is great. Only thing I felt was that they didn't believe me when I called out sick ( when you work in retail you are bound to get sick a bit more often than usual)

    Pros

I would like to transition to a full-time position. Working at Fred Meyer 20 hrs/week. I am interested in Beer/Wine job, but any position to start is good.

    Cons

Does Grocery Outlet have Health care for employees? Fred Meyer is not allowing part time employees to work enough hours to maintain Health Insurance.

    Advice to Management

I have not worked at a Grocery Outlet, but I have shopped there.
