I have been working at Freddie Mac full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

benefits, location, cafeteria, pay, some coworkers nice, some work flexibility on certain projects

    Cons

parking, management, slow to get anything done because of 'security', people only work on things they are directly responsible for - lots of no responses, lots of people not really working, some staff is completely unprofessional, a lot of tech analysts who have no work and no direction, projects often behind. For an IT shop, most important work is actually done by vendors or consultants

    Advice to Management

the bar needs to be raised for conduct and performance

I have been working at Freddie Mac full-time

    Pros

Great mission, great people, exciting work if you are willing to roll up your sleeves, seek out and tackle issues on your own.

    Cons

Sometimes an uphill battle to innovation due to risk-averse stance across the company.

    Advice to Management

Risk Management structure is too oppressive. Need to focus on creating an alignment so that people sit down to brainstorm how to push forward new ideas, not defend the status quo.

    Pros

The work load is not crazy and for the most part very interesting. Management has been top notch I communicating their goals and vision of the company

    Cons

The pay could be better for the region. And depending on your department you may have to come into the office on a daily basis. Which could mean hour of traffic every week.
